(57) A vehicle brake pad (1) has a metal supporting plate (2) for connection to a braking member; a block (3) of friction material connected integrally to an extensive surface (2a) of the supporting plate (2); and a noise-suppression plate (5) fitted to a surface (2b) of the supporting plate (2) opposite the one fitted with the block (3) of friction material; the noise-suppression plate (5) supporting a connecting portion (10) for a wear detecting device (8) for detecting wear of the block (3) of friction material.
