FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The invention refers to an improved bag, being of the type made up from a plastic
coated sheet or similar material duly shaped in a tubular arrangement, closed at both
ends and used preferably for food products.
BACKGROUND TO THE INVENTION
[0002] At the present time the bags used to contain crisps, dried fruit or similar products
have a problem at the moment when one wishes to open them. This is due to the fact
that the packaging used to contain these products is generally made from a plastic
material that is difficult to tear in order to gain entry.
[0003] On the other hand and due to the material used in the manufacture of these bags,
it is normal for an uncontrolled tear to be produced during the opening of the packaging,
which means that they open down one side or the other and tipping the contents out
and on many occasions bringing about the loss of a large amount due it falling on
the floor.
[0004] This uncontrolled tearing of the bag is a particular nuisance and problem when after
the opening of same, the idea is to use the packaging as a container for the product
whilst it is being consumed.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0005] In order to solve the stated problems, the improved bag object of the invention has
been thought up that contributes certain construction peculiarities aimed at making
the opening easier, ensuring correct access to the contents and maintaining its capacity
as the product container once it has been opened.
[0006] The bag is of the type made up of a plastic coated sheet or a similar material being
constructed in a tubular shape and being closed at both ends by means of a weld. In
turn the tubular body shaping the bag also has a longitudinal weld to make the closure
along its side surface.
[0007] In accordance with the invention, the bag has a thread running longitudinally along
its inside and having its free ends emerging to the exterior of the bag through the
end welds of same.
[0008] Said welds keep the thread fixed in position, at the same providing the fixing necessary
to allow its transversal movement by gripping any one of the free points and carrying
out the opening of the bag by means of the controlled tearing of the surface of the
bag.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0009] In order to complement the description that has been made and for the purpose of
making the characteristics of the invention easier to understand, attached to this
present document is a set of drawings in which, by way of being illustrative but not
limiting, the following has been represented.
[0010] Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the improved bag in which the threads on the
inside are represented with discontinuous line.
[0011] Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the improved bag partially in cross section.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0012] As can be seen in the stated figures, the improved bag is made up from a sheet of
plastic coated or similar material that has a tubular shape (1) closed at both ends
by means of welds (2).
[0013] On the inside of the bag there is a thread (3) running longitudinally. Said thread
(3) has its ends free (31) emerging to the outside through the end welds (2) of the
bag.
[0014] The end welds (2) keep the thread (3) in a fixed position with the fixing necessary
so as to enable the transversal movement to be made.
[0015] In order to open the bag it is only necessary to grip a free point (31) and pull
the thread (3) laterally to achieve the controlled tear of the tubular surface (1)
of the bag in a longitudinal direction.
[0016] Having given sufficient description to the nature of the invention, likewise an example
of the preferred embodiment, to whom it may concern, the materials, method, size and
arrangement of the elements described can be modified whenever it does not mean an
alteration to the essential characteristics of the invention that is claimed below.
1. Improved bag, being of the type that is made up of a plastic coated sheet or similar
material shaped to have a tubular construction (1) closed at both ends: characterised
because it includes a thread (3) that runs longitudinally along the inside of the
bag, free points (31) of the thread emerging to the outside of the bag through the
end welds (2) in same, which in turn provide the fixing necessary to allow the transversal
movement of the thread (3) by gripping one of the stated free points (31) in order
to carry out the opening by the tearing of the tubular surface (1).
