(54) Weft tension device of a loom


(57) The weft tension device uses a penetrated weft inducing pipeline (22) for introducing a weft end (12a), and the weft introducing end opposes to a fluid jet port of a stretch nozzle (20). A non-weft inducing pipeline of the weft inducing pipeline (22) is blocked by blocking means for at least a part of a period from when the weft end is introduced into the weft inducing pipeline (22) until the weft end (12a) of the next pick is introduced into the weft inducing pipeline (22). The stretch nozzle performs fluid jet motion while the weft inducing pipeline (22) is blocked at least by blocking means.
