Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a trolley construction for carrying and supporting foods and products in general, specifically designed for home or domestic use.

[0002] As is known, a lot of different types of home use carrying trolleys provided for supporting foods, bottles, and products in general, are already known.

[0003] A common element to the prior approaches, is that they are generally very complex from a construction standpoint and, accordingly, require an assembling method which, in a lot of cases, cannot be directly carried out by the user.

[0004] Another problem affecting prior art trolley constructions is that, even in a disassembled condition thereof, said prior trolleys occupy a comparatively large space, thereby causing great storing problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] Accordingly, the aim of the present invention is to overcome the above mentioned drawbacks, by providing a trolley construction for carrying and supporting foods and products in general, specifically designed for home or domestic use, which can be made from a reduced number of component elements, which can be quickly and easily mutually assembled, without the need of using specifically designed assembling tools.

[0006] Within the scope of the above mentioned aim, a main object of the present invention is to provide such a trolley construction which, in a stored condition thereof, has a very small size, thereby greatly simplifying all the storing and shipment problems.

[0007] Another object of the present invention is to provide such a trolley construction, which, while comprising constructional simple elements, is very stable and functional in operation, with respect to its use flexibility.

[0008] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide such a trolley construction which, owing to its specifically designed constructional features, is very reliable and safe in operation.

[0009] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide such a trolley construction, for carrying and supporting food products in general, specifically designed for domestic or home use, which can be easily made starting from easily commercially available elements and materials and which, moreover, is very competitive from a mere economic standpoint.

[0010] According to one aspect of the present invention, the above mentioned aim and objects, as well as yet other objects, which will become more apparent hereinafter, are achieved by a trolley construction for carrying and supporting foods and confectionery products in general, specifically designed for home use, characterized in that said trolley construction comprises two bottom or base cross-members, which, on a side, can be connected to castor wheels and provided, on the other side thereof, with pins for coupling with uprights in turn adapted to be coupled at the top thereof to a top panel, sidewall cross-members connecting said uprights substantially perpendicular with respect to said bottom cross-members being moreover provided.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0011] Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent hereinafter from the following detailed disclosure of a trolley construction for carrying and supporting food and confectionery products in general, specifically designed for home or domestic use, which is illustrated, by way of an indicative, but not limitative, example, in the accompanying drawings, where:

Figure 1 schematically illustrates the trolley construction according to the invention in a front elevation view;

Figure 2 is a further schematic side elevation view illustrating the trolley construction according to the invention;

Figure 3 is a top plan view illustrating the trolley construction according to the invention; and

Figure 4 is a further top plan view illustrating the trolley construction according to the invention, the top panel of which has been removed.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0012] With reference to the number references of the above mentioned figures, the trolley construction for carrying and supporting food and confectionery products in general, specifically designed for home or domestic use, according to the present invention, which has been generally indicated by the reference number 1, comprises two bottom or base cross-members 2 which, advantageously, comprise a front cross-member 5 and a rear cross-member 6, the rear cross-member 6 having a size larger than that of the front cross-member 5.

[0013] More specifically, said cross-members 2 support, at the bottom thereof, castor wheels 7 and, on the opposite side thereof, they comprise engaging pins, generally indicated by the reference number 9, for connecting the front uprights 4 and rear uprights 14.

[0014] Said uprights are advantageously constituted by tubular upright elements which, at the top thereof, support a top panel, generally indicated by the reference number 3.

[0015] Sidewall cross-members 8, connecting said front uprights 4 and rear uprights 14 are moreover provided.

[0016] Said sidewall cross-members can also operate as guides for engaging thereon plastic baskets, while allowing said plastic baskets to easily slide thereon.

[0017] Advantageously, the top panel 3 is made of a plastic material and comprises a built-in food product supporting tray 13, as well as an arch-shaped handle element 33.

[0018] From the above disclosure it should be apparent that the invention fully achieves the intended aim and objects.

[0019] In particular the fact is to be pointed out that the invention provides a trolley construction which, while it is made of simple constructional elements, is very stable and flexible in operation.

[0020] A further important aspect of the invention is that the trolley construction, in a disassembled condition thereof, has a very reduced size, thereby facilitating all the storing and shipment operations.

[0021] In practicing the invention, the used materials, provided that they are compatible to the intended use, as well as the contingent size and shapes, can be any, depending on requirements.
