Description

[0001] Anti-loss warning device for wallets, handbags or similar.

Background of the invention

[0002] It is quite common to lose everyday objects in public or semi-public places which as a result of their size may go unnoticed or be forgotten about at any time by their owner, such as a purse or wallet, a handbag, a briefcase or similar; the owner being not aware of this situation until he needs his/her belongings once again, which usually happens when their recovery has become problematic, whether this is down to distance or the time that has elapsed.

[0003] Likewise, it is possible that someone nearby may covertly remove one of these objects, in which case the owner, unaware of this, may not have time to react in order to recover his/her possession.

[0004] It is as a result of these problems, amongst others, that this invention has been devised.

Object of the invention

[0005] The aim is therefore to provide an anti-loss warning device for wallets, handbags or similar, which comprises two energetically self-sufficient electronic circuits that operate at the same frequency, the first being an electromagnetic wave transmission medium integrated in the object to be monitored, the wallet, an umbrella, or any other object easily forgotten, and which is permanently energised and emitting the aforementioned waves in a radius of approximately several metres; the second being a receiving medium of the aforementioned waves, housed in a holding container, to be worn in the user's clothing, such as, for example, clipped to the trouser belt or belt loop, or in a pocket, etc., which will remain inoperative while it is picking up these waves, and will emit and maintain a signal to energise an acoustic alarm medium after leaving the radiation field of the waves and no longer receiving them, thereby communicating to the user carrying the device that they are inadvertently moving away from the object to be monitored.

[0006] One objective of the invention consists in providing the warning device commented upon, whose design and composition of components are extremely simple and using low cost materials, thereby preventing any noticeable increase in the cost of the objects where it is to be installed.

[0007] Another of its objectives is to provide an extremely versatile warning device, since it can be adapted to the most varied of objects we would like to monitor.

[0008] These and other qualities and advantages of the invention will be very clear to all those skilled in the art during the course of the detail that follows. The invention has been embodied with regard to the drawings that accompany it and in which is illustrated the example of the anti-loss warning device for wallets, handbags or similar of the invention, amongst other possible objects, which is provided with illustrative rather than limiting characteristics and wherein:

Description of the drawings

[0009]
Fig. 1
is a perspective view of a wallet wherein the interrupted lines represent the elements housed internally, which form part of the device of the invention.
Fig. 2
shows the aforementioned view, also in a perspective view, of a possible embodiment for the warning transmission medium working together with the device; and
Fig. 3
shows a possible example for the attachment of this warning transmission medium from the previous figure.

Preferred embodiment of the invention

[0010] Drawing number 1 shows a conventional double-fold wallet, wherein the integral parts of the device have been included inserted between its faces internally over one of its parts.

[0011] These elements comprise an electromagnetic wave transmission medium 12 adapted to continuously emit a short-range radio signal, for example a radiofrequency transmitter with a two or three metre range around it, which is electrically connected to a battery 13 supplying it, such as a coin cell, or any other of an appropriate size, with this battery being easily replaceable after having run down, by means of an entry introduced on the internal face of the wallet, and with a cover, neither of which are illustrated in the drawing.

[0012] Number 2 shows an alarm medium working together with the transmission medium installed in the wallet.

[0013] This is formed by a body 21, of a minimum size essential for the housing of the electronic components which play a part in the operating capacity of the device, in whose interior is located a radio-wave receiver, not shown in the drawing, suited to the waves transmitted by the transmission medium, and which is electrically linked to an acoustic signal transmitter 22, with both of these connected to a power supply medium 23, just like the supply battery disclosed for the transmission mediums. This wave receiver is adapted to emit and maintain a command pulse to activate the acoustic signal transmitter when this stops receiving waves emitted by the transmitter installed in the wallet 1, due to the distance between the both of these being further than the range of these waves, or for any other reason, as well as interrupting this command pulse after receiving again the aforementioned waves. An entrance with cover 23 is provided in order to allow the replacement of the cell indicated.

[0014] On its rear face illustrated in figure 3, this body 21 has a fastening device 24, formed by a flange in the form of a clip by means of which the alarm medium hangs securely, being optionally removable from any item of the user's clothing and which they can wear comfortably.

[0015] Therefore, with the receiving medium correctly installed in the user's clothing and with the transmission medium installed in the wallet permanently radiating waves, which is picked up by the receiving medium leading to its non-operation with regard to the emission of any signal when the aforementioned user moves away and leaves the radiation range of the transmission medium, due to carelessness, or for any other reason, with the wallet, the lack of wave signals in the receiving medium will provide the emission and continuation of a command pulse activating the acoustic signal medium and alerting the user of this occurrence, with the acoustic signal medium once again becoming non-operational when the receiving medium enters the wave radiation range again, avoiding the irritation of the acoustic signal as the user becomes aware of this distance.

[0016] It is evident that the availability of the device should not be limited to a wallet such as the one disclosed, but rather be able to be applied to any article of clothing or object that needs to be monitored, such as a handbag, a briefcase, etc.

[0017] Likewise, the receiving medium does not necessarily need to be of the form disclosed, as it could have a cylindrical shape or similar, and be placed like a ballpoint pen, pen or other similar embodiment.

[0018] Certain changes, modifications, alterations, substitutions or variations may be added to the embodiment disclosed, as the preceding detail is provided only and exclusively with illustrative, and in no case whatsoever, limiting characteristics.

[0019] The aim is that all these changes and others that may occur to those skilled in the art are included within this invention, so long as they do not go beyond the spirit and broadest scope of the claims that follow.
