Light switching system |
(57) The invention provides a switching system for a building with separated living rooms
(1), wherein each living room has electrically appliances (6) which are connected
to operating elements (5), wherein the switching system (4) is designed to switch
the electrical appliances (6) of two living rooms, and wherein the switching system
is provided with an element (9), such as a switch of double switching type, with which
the switching system at choice can be adapted as a first or a second, functionally
different, type, the first type for a first and the second for a second lay-out type
of the building.

|
[0001] The design of office buildings is based on two types, office chambers (1) between
which a central passage (2) as shown in fig. 1 and office buildings with a central
core (3) and there around passages (2) and chambers (1) as according to fig. 2. The
electrical installation comprising a light switching system or an electrically actuated
sun blind is adapted according to the design of the office building.
[0002] For each office chamber illumination appliances or an electrically actuated sun blind
(6) is switched by an operating element (5) such as switches, press buttons or movement
detectors. Typically a switching module (4) can switch the illumination or sun blind
of two office chambers (fig. 3 or 4). In a building according fig. 1 the opposite
chambers are served by the same switching module, fig. 3. In buildings according to
fig. 2 the switching module takes care of switching for two adjacent chambers, shown
in fig. 4. A bus or system cable (7) provides mutual communication between the switching
modules.
[0003] In fig. 5 the switching modules (4) for buildings according to fig. 1 are schematically
shown. The coupling switch (8) is closed if the separation wall between adjacent chambers
is removed. Both operating elements (5) then switch the common lamps/sun blinds (6).
[0004] In fig. 6 in the same manner the switching module required for buildings according
to fig. 2.
[0005] In large office buildings both designs are often used simultaneously. It offers advantages
in many respects if a switching module is generally applicable for both building types.
[0006] In fig. 7 the switching module of fig. 5 is shown, to which an additional switch
(9) of the double switching type is added. Switch (9) in the position as shown makes
the switching module functionally equal to the switching module of fig. 5 for buildings
of the type chamber-passage-chamber. After switching the switch (9) a switch is obtained
of the design according to fig. 6 for the building type with a core.
[0007] Above the invention is explained by a first embodiment as shown in fig. 7. It will
be appreciated that the switching module by addition of switch 9 is multi functional
applicable, which a.o. lowers the inventory costs and also increases the production
volume per type, such that a production costs advantages can be obtained. It is also
easier to re-use the switching module.
[0008] Fig. 8 shows a further development of the switching module of fig. 7, based on the
use of so called bi-stable or remanent magnetic relais 10, by which the power consumption
is limited. If different relais types are used, the components (transistors, resistants
and capacitors) be eliminated, which in the embodiment according to fig. 8 are added
such that said relais 10 can operate.
[0009] The relais 11 is added for an additional function, e.g. switching of the passage
lamps, e.g. acting via a separate lead 12 to be operatable from a central post.
[0010] The further reference signs in fig. 8 refer to elements/components/units of similar
nature or function as the elements/components/units of fig. 7, refered by the same
reference signs.
[0011] Fig. 9 shows the ranking of the galvanic components at a wired board for a switching
module as based on the embodiment as shown in fig. 8.
[0012] It will be appreciated that also embodiments different from the one shown in fig.
7 and/or 8 are within the field of this invention, e.g. based on the provided disclosure.
An embodiment is contemplated based on one or more separate aspects of the disclosed
embodiment, possibly in combination with one or more aspects from the prior art and/or
one or more further aspects from an embodiment as disclosed.
1. Switching system for a building with separated living rooms (1), wherein each living
room has electrically appliances (6) which are connected to operating elements (5),
wherein the switching system (4) is designed to switch the electrical appliances (6)
of two living rooms, and wherein the switching system is provided with an element
(9) with which the switching system at choice can be adapted as a first or a second,
functionally different, type, the first type for a first and the second for a second
lay-out type of the building.
2. System according to claim 1, wherein the element (9) is a switch of the double switching
type and/or the electrical appliances comprise one or more of illumination points
and sun blinds.
3. System according to claim 1 or 2, wherein according to the first lay-out type (fig.
1) the living rooms (1) are on both sides of a central passage (2) and according to
the second lay-out type (fig. 2) there is a central core (3) with there around passages
(2) and living rooms (1), and wherein with the first lay-out type opposite living
rooms and with the second lay-out type living rooms next to each other are operated
by a common switching system.
4. System according to claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein it can be connected to a network of such
switching systems and/or has a coupling switch (8) for simultaneous switching two
living rooms (1).
5. System according to claim 1, 2, 3 or 4, having one or more bi-stable or remanent magnetic
relais (10).
6. System according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, having one or more additional switches
(11) for additional functions, such as switching of the passage lamps, e.g. acting
via a separate lead 12 to be operatable from a central post.
