(54) Display for transparent sheets, and semifinished product for making the same


(57) The invention relates to a display (1) for transparent sheets, characterised in that it is comprised of a plurality of plastic material sheets (10, 30, 50) realised by cartography techniques, said display being provided with lighting means with low energy compact fluorescent lamps with integrated electronic power supply, and with an inner screen, provided in front o said lighting means, for evenly diffusing the light.
The invention further relates to a set of semifinished products for realising an image display, characterised in that said semifinished products are comprised of plastic material and die cut according to cartography techniques, said set of semifinished products providing a first rear sheet (10), a second front sheet (30) and an inner sheet (50), supporting lighting means and screening and diffusing the light emitted by said lighting means.







Description


[0001] The present invention relates to a display for transparent sheets.

[0002] The invention further relates to semifinished products for making the above mentioned display.

[0003] In the following, the specification will be mainly addressed to a radiography display, but it is to be understood that it cannot be in any way intended as limitative of the present invention, being the same innovation applicable to the display of other transparent sheets.

[0004] As it is well known, every consulting room, and similar structures, is provided with a radiography display. Usually, this kind of display is comprised of a box, realised by metal or other suitable material, with a front surface comprised of transparent material and a lighting system using neon lamps.

[0005] Similar devices are for example present also in photographic studios, to observe negative and slides.

[0006] However, display so realised are very expensive, complex and bulky. Expensive due to the materials employed and to the apparatuses necessary for the neon lighting, complex because are comprised of a plurality of elements and bulky since they have large sizes and weight. Furthermore, lighting provided is not very good.

[0007] In view of the above, the Applicant has realised a display overcoming the above mentioned drawbacks.

[0008] Main object of the present invention is that of providing a display of the above kind fully comprised of plastic material sheets, preferably of Opalflex®, worked according to cartography techniques.

[0009] Still another object of the present invention is that of providing a display provide d with a system for evenly diffusing the light all along the display surface.

[0010] Further object of the present invention is that of providing a display of the above kind provided with means for fixing the image to be observed.

[0011] It is therefore specific object of the present invention a display for transparent sheets, characterised in that it is comprised of a plurality of plastic material sheets realised by cartography techniques, said display being provided with lighting means with low energy compact fluorescent lamps with integrated electronic power supply, and with an inner screen, provided in front o said, lighting means, for evenly diffusing the light.

[0012] In a preferred embodiment of the display according to the invention, fixing elastic means are provided for the image to be examined, said fixing elastic means being integrally realised with one of the plastic material sheets.

[0013] According to the invention, said display can be provided with wall fixing means, vertical support means, or they are realised to stand on a plane.

[0014] The invention further relates to a set of semifinished products for realising an image display, said semifinished products being comprised of plastic material and die cut according to cartography techniques, said set of semifinished products providing a first rear sheet, a second front sheet and an inner sheet, supporting lighting means and screening and diffusing the light emitted by said lighting means.

[0015] Particularly, according to the invention, said first rear sheet provides a central body, to which two lateral bodies are coupled by two folding lines, said lateral bodies providing two wings coupled by further folding lines.

[0016] Preferably, a base body is coupled on one end of the central body by a folding line, and an upper body is coupled to the other end of the central body, by a further folding line, both on the upper and lower body being provided holes.

[0017] Further, said upper body provides a further wing, coupled by a further folding line, from which elastic tabs extend, that, when the display is assembled, will act as means for fixing the image to be examined.

[0018] Always according to the invention, said second sheet provides a central body, comprising the image display surface, having two lateral bodies, coupled by folding lines, and an upper body and a lower body, coupled to the central body by further folding lines.

[0019] Holes are realised on said upper and lower bodies.

[0020] Preferably, two assembling tabs are provided laterally with respect to said two lateral bodies, coupled by respective folding lines.

[0021] Still according to the invention, said third sheet provides a central body, at the opposite ends of which two elements are coupled by folding lines, said elements providing lamp holders, on which low energy lamps, or other kind of lamps, can be screwed.

[0022] The present invention will be now described, for illustrative but not limitative purposes, according to its preferred embodiments, with particular reference to the figures of the enclosed drawings, wherein:

Figure 1 is a first perspective view of a display according to the invention;

Figure 2 is a second perspective view of a display according to the invention;

Figure 3 is a lateral view of the display of figure 1;

Figure 4 is a front view of the display of figure 1;

Figure 5 is a plan view of a first semifinished product for making the display according to the invention;

Figure 6 is a plan view of a second semifinished product for making the display according to the invention;

Figure 7 is a plan view of a third semifinished product for making the display according to the invention; and

Figure 8 shows the third semifinished product assembled with two lamps provided on.



[0023] Observing first figures 1 - 4 of the enclosed drawings, it is shown a display 1, realised by die cutting of plastic sheets, that will be described in greater detail in the following with reference to figures 5-8, wo rked according to the cartography techniques.

[0024] As it can be noted from the enclosed figures, display is comprised in such a way to be possible to obtain a uniform illumination of the image to be examined, thanks to a particular inner support for the lamps.

[0025] Display 1 according to the invention does not require any kind of fixture for lighting, such as transformer, ecc., necessary to use standard neon lamps.

[0026] Further, by the solution according to the present invention it is possible to use standard low energy lamps.

[0027] On the lateral walls of the viewing surface of the display 1 according to the invention it is possible to provide advertising messages and other kind of writings.

[0028] Obviously, the shape of the display 1 is not a limiting feature of the present invention.

[0029] Display 1 can be placed on a plane, or it can be provided hanging on a wall, or on a pedestal.

[0030] Above, display 1 is provided with a system for fixing the images to be examined, said fixing system being also realised by die cutting on one of said sheets, obtained by cartography techniques.

[0031] Coming now to observe figures 5 - 8 of the enclosed drawings, it is possible to observe semifinished sheets employed to realise the display 1 according to the invention.

[0032] It is once more wished to note that the shape of the display shown in the figures must not be considered a limitation of the present invention.

[0033] Sheet 10 shown in figure 5 comprises the rear portion of the display 1, and provides a central body 11, to which two lateral bodies 14, 15 are coupled by folding lines 12, 13, said lateral bodies 14, 15 providing wings 18, 19, coupled by further folding lines 16, 17.

[0034] A base body 20 is coupled on one end of the central body by a folding line 21, and on the opposite end it is provided an upper body 22, coupled by a further folding line 23. Holes 24, 25 are provided on both the bodies 20 and 22.

[0035] Said upper body 22 provides a further wing 26, coupled by a further folding line 27, from which elastic tabs 28 extend, that, when the display 1 is assembled, will act as means for fixing the image to be examined.

[0036] Coming now to observe figure 6 of the enclosed drawing, it is shown the sheet 30 realising the front part of the display 1 according to the invention. Said sheet 30 provides a central body 31, comprising the image display surface, having two lateral bodies 32, 33, coupled by folding lines 34, 35, and an upper body 36 and a lower body 37, coupled to the central body 31 by further folding lines 38, 39. Holes 40, 41 are realised on said upper 36 and lower 37 bodies, respectively.

[0037] Two assembling tabs 42, 43 are provided laterally with respect to said two lateral bodies 32, 33, coupled by respective folding lines 44, 45.

[0038] Observing now figures 7 and 8, it is shown the third sheet 50, comprising the lamp holding central element of the display 1 according to the invention.

[0039] Said sheet 50 is realised in such a way to provide a central body 51, at the opposite ends of which two elements 54, 55 are coupled by folding lines 52, 53, said elements 54, 55 providing lamp holders 56, 57, on which two low energy lamps 58, or other kind of lamps, can be screwed.

[0040] Observing particularly figure 8, it can be noted that, when sheet 50 is in the assembled position, the two lamps 58 are provided vertically, with the surface of the central body 51 in front of the same lamps, oriented outside the display 1, indicated by arrow A. said surface 51 realises a screen allowing to have a perfectly homogeneous diffusion of the light.

[0041] Each sheet 0, 30, 50 provides means and holes for coupling the relevant coupling wings with the corresponding wings of the other sheets, said means and holes not being specific object of the present invention, but in any case being realised in such a way to be possible to assemble and disassemble the display 1 according to the invention in a very simple way.

[0042] Summarising, the solution suggested according to the present invention allows to have a very valid display under the lighting point of view and that can be realised very quickly, simply and at low cost.

[0043] The present invention has been described for illustrative but not limitative purposes, according to its preferred embodiments, but it is to be understood that modifications and/or changes can be introduced by those skilled in the art without departing from the relevant scope as defined in the enclosed claims.


Claims

1. Display for transparent sheets, characterised in that it is comprised of a plurality of plastic material sheets realised by cartography techniques, said display being provided with lighting means with low energy compact fluorescent lamps with integrated electronic power supply, and with an inner screen, provided in front o said lighting means, for evenly diffusing the light.
 
2. Display according to claim 1, characterised in that fixing elastic means are provided for the image to be examined, said fixing elastic means being integrally realised with one of the plastic material sheets.
 
3. Display according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that said display is provided with wall fixing means, vertical support means, or they are realised to stand on a plane.
 
4. Display according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that said display is provided with wall vertical support means.
 
5. Display according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that said display is realised to stand on a plane.
 
6. Set of semifinished products for realising an image display, characterised in that said semifinished products are comprised of plastic material and die cut according to cartography techniques, said set of semifinished products providing a first rear sheet, a second front sheet and an inner sheet, supporting lighting means and screening and diffusing the light emitted by said lighting means.
 
7. Set of semifinished products according to claim 6, characterised in that said first rear sheet provides a central body, to which two lateral bodies are coupled by two folding lines, said lateral bodies providing two wings coupled by further folding lines.
 
8. Set of semifinished products according to claim 7, characterised in that a base body is coupled on one end of the central body by a folding line, and an upper body is coupled to the other end of the central body, by a further folding line, both on the upper and lower body being provided holes.
 
9. Set of semifinished products according to claim 7 or 8, characterised in that said upper body provides a further wing, coupled by a further folding line, from which elastic tabs extend, that, when the display is assembled, will act as means for fixing the image to be examined.
 
10. Set of semifinished products according to claim 6, characterised in that said second sheet provides a central body, comprising the image display surface, having two lateral bodies, coupled by folding lines, and an upper body and a lower body, coupled to the central body by further folding lines, holes being realised on said upper and lower bodies.
 
11. Set of semifinished products according to claim 10, characterised in that two assembling tabs are provided laterally with respect to said two lateral bodies, coupled by respective folding lines.
 
12. Set of semifinished products according to claim 6, characterised in that said third sheet provides a central body, at the opposite ends of which two elements are coupled by folding lines, said elements providing lamp holders, on which low energy lamps, or other kind of lamps, can be screwed.
 
13. Set of semifinished products according to one of the preceding claims 6 - 12, characterised in that said sheets are comprised of Opalflex®.
