Method and apparatus for testing catalytic converter durability |
(57) A method is disclosed for treating at least one component using a non-engine based
exhaust component rapid ageing system. In the method fuel is supplied through a nozzle
to a combustor at a controller air to fuel ratio which is mixed and which is continuously
and effectively stoichiometrically combusted to produce an exhaust product. The air
and fuel mixing stream has a feed stream flowpath which is effective to prevent substantial
damage to the combustor. One or more components are exposed to the exhaust product
to produce one or more treated components.
