Polyester fiber and fabric using the same |
(57) A polyester resin is disclosed that satisfies the following conditions (1) - (3):
- (1) the polyester resin comprising a copolyester obtained by copolymerizing terephthalic
acid or dimethyl terephthalate, trimethylene glycol and at least one compound selected
from the group consisting a glycol, an aliphatic or alicyclic dicarboxylic acid and
a poly(alkylene glycol);
- (2) the resin has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4 to 1.2 being measured at 35 °C with
o-chlorophenol using an Ostwald's viscometer; and
- (3) the resin has a degree of yellow tinting as represented by a b value of -2 to
10.
