Object of the Invention
The present invention refers to a device for fixing frames to pre-frames, used in the installation of closures, such as windows and doors.
Background of the Invention
The present invention is encompassed within the construction sector, specifically, in the construction of industrial bays, housings, business premises, etc. Frames and pre-frames are used therein in the installation of closures, which require elements and devices for the fixing between both.
The fixing of frames to pre-frames poses difficulties when joining both elements due to thermal expansion problems or tolerance problems in the assembly of the profiles of such elements and structures.
The fixing device of the invention provides simplicity in its manufacture and efficacy in the fixing between frames and pre-frames, being hidden from view. Furthermore, it is a flexible device due to the fact that it allows manufacturing and assembly tolerances.
Description of the Invention
The present invention refers to a fixing device used for fixing frames to pre-frames, as a preparation prior to the installation of doors and windows.
The device comprises an angular profile at a right angle in which one of its walls is provided with a series of openings along the length thereof for the passage of screws which can be screwed to the frame, whereas the other supporting wall of the profile of the pre-frame is provided with transverse notches after its free edge for the passage of screws which can be screwed to the pre-frame for the purpose of adjusting said fixing; the notches having conical recesses on their external side for receiving the head of the screws, and supporting projections on their internal side; the supporting wall furthermore being provided with a longitudinal step on its free edge defining a side area. The wall provided with openings is provided with supporting ribs on its external surface which support the frame, and with reinforcing ribs on its internal surface.

Preferred Embodiment of the Invention
To better explain the invention, a preferred embodiment is described below with the help of the figures, which, however, does not exhaust the possibilities and features of the object of the invention.
The fixing device for the fixing of frames to pre-frames comprises an angular profile (1) at a right angle. As can be observed in Figure 2, one (2) of the walls which said profile comprises is provided with a series of openings (3) along its entire length so that the lock screws can pass therethrough for the purpose of screwing it to the frame. In Figure 2, only two of the openings which said wall (2) can comprise have been shown.
On its external surface, the wall (2) is provided with support ribs (4) for supporting it against the frame, whereas it has reinforcing ribs (5) on its internal surface.
The other wall (6) the profile (1) comprises, the function of which is to support the profile of the pre-frame, is provided with transverse notches (7) after its free edge for the passage of screws which can be screwed in, which are fixed to the pre-frame. The fixing to the pre-frame can thus be adjusted, i.e., differential movements can be allowed and manufacturing and assembly tolerances can be absorbed. Furthermore, the notches (7) have conical recesses on their external side for receiving the head of the joining means, and supporting projections (8) on their internal side.
The wall (6) is furthermore provided with a longitudinal step on its free edge which forms a side area (9) for the support of the profile of the pre-frame.
