[0001] The present patent application refers to a pair of trousers with an elasticated band
used to support the user's buttocks.
[0002] The trousers of the invention are very tight sports trousers, like jeans or other
casual trousers for young people.
[0003] Due to their very-tight fitting, these trousers mould the user's body, especially
on buttocks and legs.
[0004] Tight fitting can cause serious embarrassment for users who feel that they are not
fit enough to wear very tight trousers and often prefer not to wear such a garment.
[0005] A special group of users that hesitate to wear tight-fitting trousers is represented
by people who feel that their buttocks are not well-moulded and not compatible with
the typical aesthetic principle that tends to enhance the beauty of harmonious moulded
buttocks.
[0006] The trousers of the invention have been devised in order to put an end to the insecure
feelings of this last group of users, giving them the possibility of wearing tight-fitting
trousers.
[0007] The purpose of the invention has been obtained by providing the trousers with the
capability of lifting up the user's buttocks, giving them the "round slim" look compatible
with the aforementioned aesthetic principle.
[0008] The task of lifting up the user's buttock is entrusted to an elasticated transversal
insert (band) on the back of the trousers of the invention.
[0009] To better understand the position and function of the insert, it must be noted that
trousers are provided with a traditional belt, used to support the belt loops and
front button, which is tightened around the user's waist.
[0010] In traditional trousers the belt is sewn directly on top of the two tails that are
the front and back of the trousers, respectively ; it being also provided that the
tails are mutually sewn with vertical seams in each leg.
[0011] In the trousers of the invention, the traditional belt is sewn on the back to the
longitudinal upper edge of the elasticated band; it being also provided that the longitudinal
lower edge of the elasticated band is sewn to the tail that represents the back of
the trousers, immediately above the opening of the traditional back pockets.
[0012] It must be noted that the elasticated band extends along the entire length of the
back, that is to say from the external vertical seam of the right leg to the external
vertical seam of the left leg.
[0013] In particular, the idea of using the aforementioned elasticated band has been developed
starting from the fact that the belt of any type of trousers is tightened and stabilised
around the user's waist.
[0014] With this view, the belt can be used as a fixing point to anchor an elastic element
(that is to say the aforementioned transversal band) capable of exercising upward
traction for the back of the trousers, more specifically on the user's buttocks.
[0015] It appears evident that the elasticated band can mould the buttocks of the person
wearing the trousers of the invention.
[0016] According to another embodiment of the invention, the elasticated band can be joined
with two vertical elasticated bands, each band being provided in the position that
is normally used for external vertical seams typical of sports trousers till the knee.
[0017] As a matter of fact, the two elasticated vertical bands have an intermediate position
between the front and the back of the trousers; this means that the two elasticated
vertical bands exercise mutual traction between the two tails, thus increasing the
tightness of the trousers of the invention on the user's buttocks.
[0018] Finally, it must be noted that the elasticated band is preferably made of a perspirating
material to improve the user' comfort.
[0019] For major clarity the description of the invention continues with reference to the
enclosed drawings, which are intended for purposes of illustration only and not in
a limiting sense, whereby:
- Figure 1 is a rear view of the new trousers of the invention;
- Figures 2 and 3 are a front and a side view of a first embodiment of the trousers
of the invention, respectively;
- Figures 4 and 5 are, a front and a side view of a second embodiment of the trousers
of the invention, respectively.
[0020] With reference to Fig. 1, the trousers (1) are characterised by the fact that they
have an elasticated transversal band (2) on the back, whose upper edge (2a) is sewn
under the belt (3), and lower edge (2b) is sewn above the back of the fabric (4),
immediately above the opening of the back pockets (5).
[0021] In the embodiment of the invention shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the elasticated band (2)
is joined with two elasticated external lateral bands (6) that extend till the knee
of the trousers (1).
[0022] As mentioned earlier, each band (6) is sewn vertically in intermediate position between
the front (7) and the back (4) of the trousers (1), in external position on the leg.
[0023] Finally, it must be noted that the elasticated transversal band (2), and possibly
the two lateral bands (6), are an esthetical characterising element of the trousers
(1 ).
[0024] It appears evident that the esthetical-characterising value of the elasticated bands
is especially significant, due to the fact that the esthetical characterisation of
garments is becoming more and more important for successful marketing.
[0025] In the embodiment of the invention shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the elasticated band (2)
has annular development and is shaped as an isosceles triangle with downward vertex,
being formed of an upper side (2A) that extends transversally under the belt (3) and
above the pockets (5), and of a symmetrical pair of oblique sides (2B) that intersect
the pockets (5) and converge under the crotch, with gradual narrowing.
[0026] Also in this version the transversal side (2a) is joined with two elasticated external
lateral bands (6) that extend till the knee of the trousers (1 ).
1. Trousers characterised in that they are provided with an elasticated transversal band (2) on the back, whose upper
edge (2a) is sewn under the belt (3) , and lower edge (2b) is sewn above the back
of the fabric (4).
2. Trousers as defined in claim 1, characterised in that the elasticated transversal band (2) is sewn to the back (4) immediately above the
opening of the back pockets (5).
3. Trousers as defined in claim 1, characterised in that the elasticated transversal band (2) has annular development and is shaped as an
isosceles triangle with downward vertex, it being formed of an upper side (2A) that
extends transversally under the belt (3) and above the pockets (5), and of a symmetrical
pair of oblique sides (2B) that intersect the pockets (5) and converge under the crotch
with gradual narrowing.
4. Trousers as defined in any of claims 1 - 3, characterised in that the elasticated band (2) on the back is joined with two elasticated lateral bands
(6) sewn vertically in intermediate position between the front (7) and the back (4).
5. Trousers as defined in one or more of claims 1 - 4, characterised in that the elasticated lateral bands (6) extend downwards till the knee, approximately.
6. Trousers as defined in one or more of claims 1 - 5, characterised in that the transversal band (2) and/or lateral bands (6) are made of a perspirating material.
