(54) Fence device with screen

(57) A fence device with screen is provided with a frame (2) having a rectangular shape and having, in an assemblage condition, two approximately vertical sides (20) and two approximately horizontal sides (21).
The device (1) further includes:
  • a plurality of fixed panels (3) mutually spaced apart and blocked to the frame (2) almost parallel to the vertical sides (20) from which they are spaced apart so defining a plurality of window openings (4) interposed between the fixed panels (3) and between the panels (3) and the vertical sides (20);
  • a plurality of first mobile panels (5) and at least a second mobile panel (6), almost parallel to the vertical sides (20) and translating between a facing condition with respect to the fixed panels (3) and a closing condition of the window openings (4).

Description

[0001] The present invention relates to fences and particularly it refers to a fence device with screen mainly fit for gardens, terraces and similar.

[0002] There are known fences, which are provided with vertical panels, rotating on the vertical axis in order to allow or to obstruct the view through said fences.

[0003] There are known fence devices as well provided with curtains, which can be rolled up around respective axes to allow or to obstruct the view.

[0004] The main disadvantage of said known devices provided with rotating panels and curtains consists in that they are complex and therefore expensive.

[0005] A further disadvantage of said known devices consists in that said devices cannot be mounted in very windy areas or they cannot act as windbreak, since they are noisy or insufficiently resistant to the stresses due to the wind.

[0006] An object of the present invention is to propose a simple and economical fence device with screen.

[0007] Other object is to propose a strong and reliable device also capable to break the wind.

[0008] The above-mentioned objects are achieved in accordance with the claim content.

[0009] The characteristics of the invention are underlined in the following, with particular reference to the attached drawings, in which:
  • figure 1 shows a front view of the fence device with screen of the present invention in an opening condition;
  • figure 2 shows a front view of device of figure 1 in a closing condition;
  • figures 3 and 4 show section views of device of figure 1 respectively in the opening condition and in the closing condition;
  • figure 5 shows a section view of a variant of device of figure 1.

[0010] With reference to figures 1 to 4, numeral 1 indicates the fence device with screen of the present invention, provided with a frame 2 having a rectangular shape and having, in a assemblage condition, two approximately vertical sides 20 and two approximately horizontal sides 21.

[0011] Said sides 20, 21 consist of section bars made of metal or plastic material.

[0012] The device 1 further includes a plurality of fixed panels 3 mutually spaced apart and blocked to the frame 2 almost parallely to the vertical sides 20.

[0013] The vertical sides 20 and the fixed panels 3 are spaced apart by a plurality of window openings 4 interposed between them.

[0014] The device is also provided with a plurality of first mobile panels 5, each one corresponding to a respective fixed panel 3, and with at least a second mobile panel 6, corresponding to a side fixed panel 3. Said mobile panels, first 5 and second 6, are nearly parallel to the vertical sides 20.

[0015] The mobile panels 5, 6 translate between a facing condition with respect to fixed panels 3, wherein the window openings 4 are opened, and a closing condition of these last openings 4, wherein the mobile panels 5, 6 are interposed between the fixed panels 3 and between one thereof and a vertical side 20.

[0016] The first mobile panels 5 are mutually locked, for instance because they are made in single body by punching a single plate or because they are mutually joined together by means of transversal elements, welded or fixed by screws, rivets or similar.

[0017] The first mobile panels 5 slide in first guides 7 of horizontal sides 21 and which extend up to one of the vertical sides 20.

[0018] The second mobile panel 6 slides in second guides 8 of horizontal sides 21 and which extend up to the remaining vertical side 20.

[0019] The second mobile panel 6 and the first mobile panel 5 opposed to the mobile panel are provided with respective handles 9 fit for manually translate the mobile panels.

[0020] The panels 3, 5, 6 are made of metallic sheet, plastic sheet or composite material or by-products of wood, while the guides 7, 8 are made of a metallic or synthetic section bar and they are in single body, namely monolithic, with the horizontal sides 21 of frame 2.

[0021] The guides 7, 8 can be provided with elements for reducing the friction which are made of a metallic or plastic material, such as bronze, Teflon and the like.

[0022] The ends of fixed panels 3 are housed in the seats 11 carried out in single body with the horizontal sides 21 of frame 2.

[0023] The operation of device provides that it is possible to open or to close the window openings 4 by means of handles 9, in order to regulate the screening of the area bordered by the device 1.

[0024] In the variant of device shown in figure 5, the edges of the fixed panels 3 and/or of the first mobile panels 5 are provided with seal means 10 capable to eliminate slits and to prevent that a strong wind, investing the device and penetrating among the panels, produces whistles, vibrations and noises generally.

[0025] A further variant of the device, simple to be understood and not illustrated, provides that the fixed panels 3 are mutually connected by means of a plurality of horizontal beams or crossbars.

[0026] Each fixed panel 3 is connected to the adjacent one by several beams dividing the interposed window opening 4 in several smaller openings almost squared or rectangular shaped.

[0027] The fixed panels 3 and beams can be carried out by cutting a single metal plate, for instance by a laser or by a plasma torch.

[0028] This variant of the invention provides stiffening and an improvement of the safety of the device.

[0029] The main advantages of the present invention are to provide a fence device with screen which is simple, economical, strong and reliable and which is capable to break the wind without generating annoying noises.
