Increasing the concentration of a nucleic acid molecule |
(57) A method for increasing the concentration of a nucleic acid molecule, said method
comprising:
- (a) forming microcapsules from a water-in-oil emulsion, wherein said microcapsules
include nucleic acid, an aqueous solution comprising components necessary to perform
nucleic acid amplification and a chemically inert silicone-based surfactant; and
- (b) amplifying said nucleic acid in the microcapsules to form amplified copies of
the nucleic acid;
thereby increasing the concentration of said nucleic acid in the microcapsules
