(54) Removable multi-purpose hanger

(57) The invention is a new multi-purpose hanger (P) having elongated design and longitudinal section, suitable for gripping, and provided with a convex groove (T) throughout its length, designed to house bag handles. It has one or more holes for attachment of a key ring. At the bottom it is provided with a seat or recess (F) for application to a wall support (S) which generically consists of a bent lamina or sheet, one wing (S1) of which is fixed to the wall, while the other wing (S2) houses the multi-purpose hanger (P).

Description

[0001] The present patent concerns the sector of household accessories and in particular concerns a multi-purpose accessory which acts as hanger, grip for carrying shopping bags, key holder, exerciser, etc.

[0002] It is known that carrying shopping bags can be uncomfortable or in some cases even harmful. As a result of the weight of the bag, the bag handles rest heavily on the palm of the hand, thus causing pain and, in some cases, cuts or sores on the skin.

[0003] The pain felt in carrying a heavy bag induces the person to continuously change the position of the bag handles on his/her hand, so that the weight rests on another part of the hand, which in some cases results, for example, in the bag being carried by the fingers alone, thus assuming an unnatural position in which the tendons of the finger are dangerously over-stretched.

[0004] The basic idea is to use the hanger described above also as a grip for carrying bags comfortably.

[0005] A further concept is to use the hanger as a key holder, without the user having to carry a further object designed for this purpose.

[0006] Key holders, in fact, are often forgotten and remembered only when the door has been closed.

[0007] When putting on a coat, jacket or other winter garment, the wearer immediately recognises and removes the part of the hanger to which the ring with the door keys is attached.

[0008] The idea is therefore to combine the hanger and the key ring with the functions specified above.

[0009] A new type of hanger has therefore been studied and produced which acts as a key holder and also as a grip for shopping bags.

[0010] In this way there is no need to remember a specific dedicated object, with the result that it is inadvertently left at home.

[0011] This new accessory can also be used as a grip for string handles, for example of packages, or also as a hand exerciser.

[0012] The hanger in question consists of a rounded curved object, with central upper groove in which the string handles or grips are inserted. The object is shaped so that it can be comfortably gripped.

[0013] At the bottom of the object there is a recess or groove which permits insertion on a wing of a U-shaped support that can be fixed to the wall.

[0014] The ergonomic shape of the object ensures a regular position of the hand during transport. The weight is discharged onto the whole hand, thus avoiding greater stress at particular points. The use of suitable material, preferably soft plastic, prevents the formation of cuts or marks on the skin.

[0015] The ergonomic shape means that it can also be used as an exerciser.

[0016] When the object is applied to the wall support, its upper arched rounded part supports the clothes without misshaping them, ruining them or creating unsightly humps.

[0017] The object considered is provided with holes for insertion of a key ring.

[0018] It also features a seat (M) the size of a coin normally used to release supermarket trolleys.

[0019] The object, which can be equipped with a small internal battery and a light, can also be used as an advertising means. By highlighted marking it can therefore become a means for advertising.

[0020] The characteristics of the removable multi-purpose hanger will be illustrated in greater detail by the following description with reference to the drawings, attached as a non-limiting example.

[0021] Figures 1a, 1b, 1c show, respectively, a side view, a top view and a front view of an embodiment of the new hanger.

[0022] Figures 2a, 2b, 2c show, respectively, a side view, a top view and a front view of another embodiment of the new hanger.

[0023] As can be seen from figures 1a and 2a, the object (P) has an oval or in any case linear design with width preferably between 2 and 8 centimetres, with generally flat head ends (A), and is slightly longer than the width of a hand, roughly 5 to 15 centimetres.

[0024] A groove (T) runs throughout the length of the top of the object (P), with width preferably between 2 and 20 millimetres and depth preferably between 5 and 20 millimetres, and is designed to house the handles of a bag. Near one of the two ends there is a through hole (F) for insertion of the key ring.

[0025] In the side views of figures 1b and 2b it is possible to observe the hole (F) and, marked with a broken line, the longitudinal profile of the internal groove (T). Said profile (T), being convex, indicates that the groove is deeper at the ends of the object (P) and that said depth decreases towards the centre of the object (P). This guarantees that the handles are in contact with the object (P) along its entire length.

[0026] Figures 1c and 2c show a front view of the object (P) in which the open rounded shape with a recess at the level of the groove (T) can be seen. The form of said section makes the object (P) particularly suitable for comfortable gripping.

[0027] Figures 3a, 3b, 3c show, respectively, a side view, a top view and a front view of another embodiment of the new hanger consisting of two generically spherical elements connected by a generically cylindrical portion with smaller section.

[0028] In this embodiment each sphere has a recess (T) designed to house one of the bag handles.

[0029] All the above embodiments are provided at the bottom with a recess or groove (C) for insertion on the wall support (S), as can be seen in figure 4.

[0030] Said wall support (S) generically consists of a U-shaped element, one wing (S1) of which is fixed to the wall, while the other wing is provided with a tooth (S2) which receives the multi-purpose hanger described above.

[0031] The new hanger, bag holder, key holder etc. can be made of materials such as wood, soft or hard plastic, recycled plastic, ferrous or non-ferrous metal alloy.

[0032] Therefore, with reference to the preceding description and to the attached drawings, the following claims are expressed.
