(57) A device (1) is disclosed for transferring fishing wire (F) from commercial coils (100) to coils (200) placed on fishing reels (300) and vice versa, wherein the fishing reels (300) are of the fixed drum type; the device (1) comprises: at least one first supporting member (400) on which at least one commercial coil (100) is placed equipped with the fishing wire (F); at least one second supporting member (500) on which at least one coil (200) is placed that is located on a fishing reel (300); and at least one distribution member (600) adapted to distribute in a uniform winding the fishing wire (F) from the commercial coil (100) to the coil (200) placed on the fishing reel (300) and vice versa.

Description

[0001] The present invention refers to a device for transferring fishing wire from commercial coils to coils placed on fishing reels and vice versa. The invention can be applied to the field of fishing reels of the fixed drum type.

[0002] In the fishing field, the so-called "mono-wires" (also called "fishing lines") are known which, according to the type of performed fishing, can be found on the market with different lengths and diameters, wound onto particular collecting devices also called "coils". These latter ones can have different containing capacities, that range from 25 to 1000 meters, with a diameter ranging from 0.06 to 0.50 mm.

[0003] A fisher, in order to be able to transfer the mono-wire from the purchased coil to the reel, or simply in order to replace it with another one with different thickness, must employ a manual procedure, that consists in being helped by another person who will have to keep the coil in a vertical position, while, on the other hand, the fisher will wind the mono-wire by rotating the reel; if an external help cannot be found, the same operation can be carried out by freely leaving the coil on the ground.

[0004] This manual procedure has the following disadvantages:

1. the mono-wire is wound slowly;

2. it is impossible to determine the amount of mono-wire that is actually needed;

3. very bad quality: the mono-wire wound on the reel acquires defects such as modification of its original memory and torsion, often showing curling problems. In practice, the mono-wire is subjected to a continuous torsion on itself during its transfer, looses part of its malleability and fluidity, and the excess part of the mono-wire itself, that is stored in the reel coil and will be used afterwards, will show, upon its use, the accumulated defects, such as crinkling, curling and goes out of its seat.

[0005] Object of the present invention is solving the above prior art problems, by providing a device for transferring fishing wire that allows quickly performing the mono-wire winding and unwinding operations, has a high accuracy in the amount of mono-wire to be wound and unwound and provides an optimum quality of the mono-wire itself, which, after having been wound or unwound, optimally remains on the coil, preserving its original memory. The above-mentioned object is obtained due to the fact that the device is preferably of the electromechanical type and allows receiving the different commercial mono-wire coils and transferring its contents on the fishing reels coils (and on other coils) in an accurate and linear way, avoiding mono-wire torsions on itself, keeping the mono-wire tension constant till the different coils are completed. Moreover, the inventive device allows changing the mono-wire housing or taking them back into their own containers, without changing their characteristics.

[0006] The above and other objects and advantages of the inventions, as will appear from the following description, are obtained by a device as claimed in Claim 1. Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variations of the present invention are the object of the dependent claims.

[0007] The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, provided as a non-limiting example, with reference to the enclosed drawings, in which:
  • Figure 1 is a top view of a preferred embodiment of the device of the present invention;
  • Figure 2 is a side view of the device of Fig. 1; and
  • Figure 3 is a schematic block diagram of the electronic part of the device of the present invention.

[0008] With reference to the Figures, a preferred embodiment of the device of the present invention is shown and described. It will be immediately obvious to the skilled people in the art that numerous variations and modifications (for example related to shape, sizes and parts with equivalent functionality) can be performed to the described device without departing from the scope of the invention as claimed in the enclosed claims.

[0009] With reference to the Figures, a preferred embodiment of the device 1 of the invention is shown, for transferring fishing wire F from commercial coils 100 to coils 200 placed on fishing reels 300 and vice versa. The device 1 can be applied to fishing reels 300 of the fixed drum type, and substantially comprises:
  • at least one first supporting member 400 on which at least one commercial coil 100 is placed equipped with the fishing wire F;
  • at least one second supporting member 500 on which at least one coil 200 is placed, such coil 200 being located on a fishing reel 300; and
  • at least one distribution member 600 adapted to distribute in a uniform winding the fishing wire F from the commercial coil 100 to the coil 200 located on the fishing reel 300 and vice versa.

[0010] In particular, as better shown in Fig. 3, the distribution member 600 comprises at least one inverter 12 (typically a 12V inverter relay) operatively connected to at least two trimmers 13, 14 (typically 220-kA double trimmers), wherein the trimmers 13, 14 transmit the operating motion to at least one small barrel 34 on which fishing wire F is placed; the small barrel 34 reciprocates and longitudinally moves with respect to the coils 100, 200 in order to distribute the fishing wire F from one coil to the other uniformly. The Figures also show a second small barrel 35 for passing the mono-wires F with a lower diameter (while the small barrel 34, in this example, is adapted for passing mono-wires F with a greater diameter, for example made of wool or braid). The small barrels 34, 35 are preferably made of graphite.

[0011] The distribution device operates through a small reversible motor 9, preferably of the 12V type, timed by a cyclic timer 10 (typically of the 12V type between 0.5 and 45 seconds), while the small threaded barrel 34, 35, when is driven for moving, is screwed and unscrewed on its own nut 18, through a threaded metallic rod 17 driven by the small motor 9 through a pulley 16, thereby creating the necessary movements for filling the coils 100, 200.

[0012] Fig. 3 also shows a power supply 11' (settled to 12V) for the circuit 1 and a turn-on switch 15.

[0013] According to the non-limiting embodiment shown, the first supporting member 400 is composed of at least one pin 28, 29 (in the embodiment shown there are two of them) around which commercial coils 100 with different sizes and shapes can be placed. A meter-counting device 22 (shown as a cylindrical bobbin) is further included, that counts how much wire F has already been wound or unwound from the coil 100. The whole first supporting member 400 rests on sliding guides 23, 24 and, due to a threaded metallic rod 25 energised by a small reversible motor 26, through a pulley 27, moves laterally in order to allow placing the coils 200 onto the pins 28, 29. A clutch member is also used. The rotary movement is provided by two small reversible motors 30, 31 with rubber pulleys 32, 33 that clamp a disk 34' secured to the main shaft 19 which, by induction, assumes the rotary movement transmitting it, when necessary, to the secondary shaft 20.

[0014] The second supporting member 500 is composed of at least one, and preferably two pins 2, 3 that are oppositely rotating, that allows operating on cols with different pins (whose diameter is for example 3.5 and 4 mm), in which the two pins 2, 3 are supported on a basement 11. The second supporting member 500 is composed in such a way as to be able to house the whole reel 300 equipped with coil 200, or also commercial coils 100 to guarantee the maximum operating flexibility. The traction of the second supporting member 500 is given by two small motors 4, 5 (typically of the 12V type), that are placed and sliding on a mobile bridge abutted against a metallic rod 7, that can be lifted and lowered, and rests on the coil 200 back, transmitting thereto the rotary motion along the two directions. The second supporting member 500 is equipped with a manually-operated disk brake 8, to enable the right mono-wire F tension when winding and unwinding it onto the coil 200.

[0015] Fig. 2 also shows a support 43 for the commercial coils 100, an alternative support 44 for the coils 200 of the reel 300, and a light spot 45 for displaying.

[0016] The device 1 is also equipped with sensors 23', 24' for detecting its main operating states, and with a display 25 to show to a user the main operating quantities of the device 1 itself.

[0017] The device 1 of the invention further comprises control means 13', 14', 36, 37, 38, 39, 40 for operatively managing the device 1. In particular, such control means are composed of: a knob 13' for controlling the trimmers 13; a knob 14' for controlling the trimmers 14; a pushbutton 36 for turning on the small motors 4, 5 on the coil 200 of the reel 300; a pushbutton 37 for turning on the small motors 30, 31 for the commercial coil 100; a pushbutton 38 for the inverter 12; a warning light 39 for panel lighting; and an inverter 40 for translating the supports of the commercial coils 100.

[0018] A knob for controlling the speed and the main power supply is also provided.

[0019] The inventive device 1 can be applied to all currently known commercial coils 100 and coils 200 for reels 300. In particular, mono-wire coils can be used that are perpendicular to the device 1 axis, with diameter ranging from 4 to 17.5 cm, and mono-wire coils that are horizontal with respect to the device 1 axis, with a diameter ranging from 5 mm to 12 cm. All coils of the fixed type can be used with the device 1 of the invention.
