(54) IMPROVED PYJAMAS

(57) The invention relates to an improved pair of pyjamas. The invention is characterised in that it comprises two symmetrical parts which are connected by means of a zip fastener which starts in the upper area of the front part of the pyjamas, passes underneath the crotch and terminates in the upper rear part thereof. In this way, it is almost impossible for the user to open said zip.

Description

Object of the Invention

[0001] The present specification refers to a Utility Model application corresponding to an improved pyjama, the obvious purpose of which is based on being configured as a garment designed for being used to cover the body of elderly people with severe cognitive deterioration, both of memory and in people affected by senile dementia or Alzheimer's disease, preferably to be used when these people are to lying on a bed, or else they must be raised from the bed to remain on an armchair or walk within a sheltered area, so as to increase the mobility of their lower limbs, consisting of two bodies or areas constituting the side areas of a garment that covers the body of a human being, and in turn joined by a zipper , joined at the area corresponding to the collar of the front portion of the garment, enveloping the body of the user from the top portion to the crotch, and emerging and ending at the back portion in a point at the collar opposite to where it begins.

Field of the Invention

[0002] This invention has its application within the industry dedicated to the manufacture of special garments, mainly of sanitary use.

Background of the Invention

[0003] The applicant is unaware of the current existence of an invention having the features described in the present specification.

Description of the Invention

[0004] The improved pyjama proposed by the invention has a plurality of features and advantages for being used by elderly people who present cognitive deterioration, both of memory and in those affected by Alzheimer's disease.

[0005] More specifically, the improved pyjama consists of a body for unisex application, designed from two areas constituting the left and right sides, which are joined by means of a zipper, being sewn inside out, the path of the zipper starting at the top front central portion for the purpose of joining both pieces constituting the garment, and finishing at the top portion of the back, being capable of separating the two areas constituting the garment and removing or changing the diapers normally used in order to collect the organic fluids produced by incapacitated people, requiring for this opening movement of the zipper down the back or back portion until partially or completely completing its path, and allowing for the removal of the diapers, ending in the front portion, and allowing the separation of the two pieces constituting the garment for its removal from the surface of the body.

[0006] Subsequently, after removal a similar garment of a simplified form may be incorporated, given that the pyjama allows an easy incorporation since it lacks sleeves and has wide armholes in the area corresponding to the initial area of the arms of the user, as well as having a reduced length in the area corresponding to the legs and having a Bermuda shorts configuration, equally allowing an easy adaptation over the area corresponding to the body, the end of the zipper being fastened at the top portion of the back and allowing the joining of the two areas constituting the garment after zipping, regardless of whether the same has fastening areas by means of buttons, and an area in the waist pulled in by an elastic configuration allowing its adaptation.

[0007] It is thus achieved in a complete and absolute manner that the user thereof, generally elders, sick people or people with psychomotor deficiencies, may remove it as they do not have the means of removal thereof, as occurs with garments with buttons or conventional fastening methods.

Description of the Drawings

[0008] To complement the description set forth and for the purpose of aiding to better understand the features of the invention, two sheets of drawings are attached to the present specification as an integral part thereof, which represent the following with an illustrative and non-limiting character:

Figure 1 shows a plan view of the object of the invention, corresponding to an improved pyjama seen from the front portion.

Figure 2 shows a plan view of the object represented in Figure 1, seen from the back portion.

Preferred Embodiment of the Invention

[0009] In view of these figures, it can be seen how the improved pyjama (1) is constituted of two pieces (2) and (3) made from textile material, having pockets (7) in the front area, pieces (2) and (3) being joined by means of a zipper (4) which, starting at the top portion of the back (5), ends at the top portion of the front area, arranging fasteners (6) as reinforcement areas, located both at the collar area and in the waist area, which is implemented by an elastic core (8) configured as an elastic band, allowing the easy adaptation thereof to the waist of the user.

[0010] The legs of the pyjama (1) have a limited length in the bottom portion, being configured as Bermuda-type legs, and incorporating a hem (9) in order to facilitate the adaptation of pieces (2) and (3) constituting the garment (1).

Claims

1. An improved pyjama, characterised by being constituted from two pieces (2) and (3) constituting, respectively, the right and left sides of the pyjama (1), joined by means of a zipper (4), which is joined at its starting end at the top portion of the front area and finishing at the top back area (5) after passing through the crotch, having fasteners (6) located at the area corresponding to the collar and to the waist, where there is an elastic band (8), and having pockets in the front area, as well as a hem (9) at the bottom portion of the legs.
