(54)	Image forming device, data erasing method, a computer program and a computer readable storage medium

(57) In an image forming device including hardware resources for image-formation processing and a program for executing an image-formation-related process, a mode judgment unit determines whether the image forming device is to be started in a clearing mode or a normal starting mode, the clearing mode being configured to erase, when the image forming device is started, data stored in a storage device of the image forming device. A process starting unit starts execution of the image-formation-related process in response to both a result of the determination of the mode judgment unit and an image-forming-device setup data. A data erasing unit erases the data stored in the storage device when the image forming device is started in the clearing mode.
