(57) A smart key system (1) for a vehicle determines that a mobile communicator (17) is not in the passenger compartment and that an in-trunk communicator (11d, 14) communicates with the mobile communicator (17) when the trunk gets locked. Then the smart key system (1) executes a recovery process (S35, S43) for the mobile communicator (17) locked in the trunk.
