(54) Door-lock device for a household appliance

(57) A door-lock device for a household appliance comprises a body (2) to which there is hinged, via a pin (8), a catch (7) that is capable of angular movement, as well as an actuating system (3-5) having actuator means (3) that can be controlled to determine passage of the locking member (7) between a first inoperative condition, in which opening of the door (9) of the household appliance is enabled, and an operative condition, in which opening of the door (9) is prevented. Switching means (14) are provided for enabling translation of the pin (8), and hence of the catch (7), between a position of normal operation and a position of special operation, both of which stable. In the position of normal operation, the movement of the catch (7) is obtained via the actuating system (3-5), whilst in the position of special operation the catch (7) can assume a second inoperative condition. The switching means (14) can be actuated by applying on the door (9) a force that is considerably greater than the minimum force necessary for opening the door itself when the catch (7) is located in its first inoperative condition.
