(54)	A connector and cable assembly for a power distribution system

(57) The invention provides a connector assembly 1 comprising an enclosure 2, a plurality of piercing members 3a, 3b and 3c each having an end adapted to pierce the insulation portion of an electrical cable and a plurality of conductive elements 4a, 4b and 4c. The position of piercing member 3c is changeable so that it can contact with any core of a multicore cable 20, comprising a plurality of cores 22a, 22b, 22c, 22d and 22e, to which the connector assembly 1 is to be connected.
