[0001] The present invention concerns a multi-shape multiple container for cosmetic material,
preferably for lip-gloss.
[0002] There are known containers (caskets) comprising a plurality of compartments within
which the cosmetic material is housed.
[0003] Usually these containers have a bearing structure and a series of mobile concealed
compartments (for example small drawers) which in case of utilisation move outwards
from said bearing structure.
[0004] When the container is closed it assumes a particular shape.
[0005] Often the user buys a new container not so much because the cosmetic products are
finished, as rather because tired with the aesthetic shape of the product.
[0006] Therefore the container has a rather limited commercial duration if assuming always
the same aesthetic appearance.
[0007] Scope of the present invention is to provide a multiple container for cosmetic products
with variable shape that has a greater commercial duration.
[0008] According to the invention such object is attained with a multiple container for
cosmetic material, preferably for lip-gloss, comprising a plurality of cubic containers
with removable cover, characterised in that said cubic containers are hinged two by
two along at least one edge of each one of them, so that the multiple container can
assume a different shape depending on how the single hinged cubic containers are positioned.
[0009] In this way both the trader as well as the buyer can give the multiple container
shapes which vary with the time and can create pleasant innovative effects.
[0010] The variation of the shape of the container produces in addition different chromatic
effects since the single cubic containers are transparent.
[0011] In addition, a same shape can give various chromatic effects depending on the direction
from which it is observed. For instance, if a multiple container assumes the shape
of a cube, a different chromatic effect will be obtained depending on the face that
will be put in contact with the plane.
[0012] The characteristics and the advantages of the present invention will become more
evident from the following detailed description of an embodiment thereof which is
illustrated as a non limiting example in the enclosed drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows an axonometry view of a cubic container;
Figure 2 shows a sectional view according to the line II-II in Figure 1;
Figure 3 shows an axonometry view of a shape that the multiple container according
to the present invention can assume;
Figure 4 shows an axonometry view of another shape derived from the one in Figure
3 that the multiple container can assume;
Figure 5 shows an axonometry view of another shape derived from the one in Figure

Figure 6 shows an axonometry view of another shape derived from the one in Figure

Figure 7 shows an axonometry view of another shape derived from the one in Figure

Figure 8 shows an axonometry view of a shape of the multiple container equal to the
one in Figure 7 opportunely rotated;
Figure 9 shows an axonometry view of another shape derived from the one in Figure
8 that the multiple container can assume;
Figure 10 shows an axonometry view of a shape of the multiple container equal to the
one in Figure 8 opportunely rotated;
Figure 11 shows an axonometry view of another shape derived from the one in Figure
10 that the multiple container can assume;
Figure 12 shows an axonometry view of another shape derived from the one in Figure
11 that the multiple container equal to the one in Figure 3 can assume.
[0013] A multiple container comprises eight cubic containers (hereinafter simply called
cubes) 1-8, each one of which (Figures 1-2) is made up of an external casing 9 and
a cavity 10 which houses lip-gloss 11, said cavity 10 being closed by a removable
concealed cover 12.
[0014] From Figure 3 it is possible to notice that the cubes 1-2 are hinged by means of
an adhesive tape 13, the cubes 3-4 by means of an adhesive tape 14, the cubes 5-6
by means of another adhesive tape 15, and the cubes 7-8 by means of an additional
adhesive tape 16.
[0015] In addition, the cubes 1 and 8 are hinged by means of an adhesive tape 17 and the
cubes 4-5 by means of an adhesive tape 18 (Figure 4).
[0016] Finally, from Figure 6 it is possible to notice that the cubes 2-3 are hinged by
means of a tape 19 and the cubes 6-7 by means of a tape 20, whereas Figure 9 shows
that cubes 5-6 are hinged by a tape 21 and the cubes 3-4 by a tape 22.
[0017] In order to facilitate the understanding of the dynamics by which the multiple container
changes shape the axes A (Figure 4), B (Figure 6), C and D (Figure 7), and (Figure
8), F and G (Figure 9), H (Figure 11) and I (Figure 12) are defined.
[0018] As for what concerns the modalities by which the multiple container changes shape,
let's consider as a starting shape the one in Figure 3.
[0019] By rotating (Figure 4) by 90° rigidly in counter-clockwise direction the cubes 1-4
and the cubes 5-6 rigidly in clockwise direction around the axis A the shape in Figure
5 is obtained.
[0020] Using the axis of rotation B in Figure 6, the shape of Figure 7 is obtained by rotating
by 90° rigidly in counter-clockwise direction the cubes 1-2, 7-8 and rigidly in clockwise
direction the cubes 3-6.
[0021] A double 90° rotation of the cube in Figure 7, first around the D axis and then around
axis C, gives the cube in Figure 8.
[0022] By rotating the cubes 6-7 rigidly in clockwise direction around the axis F and the
cubes 2-3 rigidly in counter-clockwise direction around the axis G, the shape in Figure
9 is obtained.
[0023] Figure 10 is obtainable by rotating by 90° the cube in Figure 8 around the axis E.
[0024] Finally, Figure 11 is obtainable from Figure 10 simply by rotating by 90° rigidly
in clockwise direction the cubes 2-3 around the axis H, and Figure 12 from Figure
11 by rotating by 90° rigidly in counter-clockwise direction the cubes 6-7.
[0025] It would be possible to go on with additional manipulations of Figure 12 which are
allowed by the same tapes 13-22.
[0026] The obtainable shapes are numerous with ever different chromatic varieties.
[0027] The commercial duration of the product according to the present invention is much
higher than the known multiple containers.
