(54) Synchronization of sound generated in binaural hearing system

(57) The binaural hearing system (1) comprises a first hearing device (10R) and a second hearing device (10L), each comprising an output transducer (12L;12R) for converting audio signals into signals (7,8) to be perceived by a user of the hearing system; a communication link (20) interconnecting said first (10R) and said second (10L) hearing device; and a sound generator (17R) comprised in said first hearing device (10R) for generating first audio signals (30); and said first hearing device (10R) is adapted to transmitting said first audio signals (30) to said second hearing device (10L) via said communication link (20). Through the transmission of said generated first audio signals (30), it is possible to achieve a predictable latency for the perception of said first audio signals (30) by the user's two ears.
