(54) Variable geometry turbocharger


(57) A variable geometry turbocharger 1 includes a housing 201; and a link mechanism 202, provided in the housing 201, which controls the orientation of vanes 42 for controlling the flow of exhaust gas. The housing 201 includes a turbine-housing swirl chamber 5 for supplying the exhaust gas to a turbine; and a link chamber 6 that houses the link mechanism 202. A communication hole 3, which provides communication between the turbine-housing swirl chamber 5 and the link chamber 6, is formed in the housing 201.
