(57) In a flooring comprising rectangular floorboards (1) for providing a patterned floating
flooring, said floorboards (1) being provided, along opposing long edges (4a,4b),
with integrated first and second connecting means for locking together one floorboard
with a second floorboard (1'), such that upper edge portions of said floorboard (1)
and said second floorboard (1'), in a joined state, together define a vertical plate
(VP), whereby said first connecting means comprise an upwardly projecting locking
element on one long side cooperating with a locking groove on the other long side
of the second floorboard for locking together said floorboard (1) and said second
floorboard (1') in a horizontal plane (D2), perpendicular to said vertical plane (VP),
and whereby said second connecting means comprise a tongue and a groove for locking
together said floorboard (1) and said second floorboard (1') in a vertical direction
(D1), perpendicular to a main plane of said floorboards (1,1'), a long edge (4a,4b)
of said floorboards has a bevel (133), a short edge (5a,5b) of said floorboards has
a length not exceeding 10 cm, there is a joint gap between said floorboard (1) and
said second floorboard (1'), and the short edge has a locking system, which locks
horizontally.
