(57) Inset gripping device in particular for sliding leaves (1,1a,1b), comprising a pair of frames (10;110) extending in a longitudinal direction (X-X) and provided with an associated opening (11) extending inside them over a partial section of the longitudinal length of the said frame, the parallel longitudinal sides of said frame being connected by at least one cross-piece (20) extending in the transverse direction (Y-Y), said cross-piece comprising at least one seat (21;22) for receiving corresponding screws (23) for relative fixing of the frames (10;110) and at least one central seat (25) for insertion of the means (40) for joining a cover plate (30) for frontal closing of the frame (10).
