(57) A wheelchair chassis with upper and lower base frames 12, 14 pivotally connected towards front ends thereof, and selectively connectable at the rear by either an adjustable arrangement with gas struts 56, or a fixed arrangement with cranked members 62. A seat arrangement can be selectively mountable on the upper base frame 12.
