Field of invention
[0001] The invention generally relates to loading and unloading devices and transport devices
for containers, more particularly, to a container transport vehicle for transporting
across containers.
Background of invention
[0002] Now, the containers are transported from the front side of dock to the stack field
by trucks mainly. Since in the whole operation, for example, in the unloading ship
operation, the trucks position must be aligned when the containers are unloaded from
ship by the shore bridge, moreover, with the higher lifting height and the larger
lifting speed of the shore bridge, the difficulty is increased for alignment of the
containers and the trucks. In order to align the position accurately, the longer time
must be taken for the trucks and the shore bridge so that the operation efficiency
is affected adversely.
[0003] Also, in the loading ship operation, it has the same problems of the alignment and
time. The further increment of the operation efficiency is limited by these problems,
therefore there is an urgent demand for developing a transport device which can transport
containers across them easily, nimbly and rapidly, and can load and unload the containers
automatically.
Summary of invention
[0004] It is an object of the invention to provide a container transport vehicle for transporting
across container to resolve the following problems: the difficulty of the position
alignment, the long time and the large amount of work, and the low operation efficiency.
The container transport vehicle also increases the flexibility of transportation.
[0005] According to one aspect of the invention, a container transport vehicle for transporting
across containers is provided, said container transport vehicle including: a large
carrier frame; a diesel set being used as a power supply; a wheel support frame incorporating
with a large carrier redactor; a large carrier drive machinery; and wheels, hanging
tools and swing-resisting and translation machineries for the hanging tool, wherein,
the vehicle further includes, a lifting machinery and a steering machinery; said large
carrier drive machinery comprises a large carrier drive motor mounted on the wheel
support frame, the large carrier reductor and wheel side brakes, the large carrier
drive motor is connected to the large carrier reductor, the wheel side brakes are
driven by a hydraulic means and are mounted in hubs, the large drive machinery comprises
four wheel support frames; said lifting machinery is mounted in the middle of the
large carrier frame, and equipped with four cylinders being connected to the hanging
tools; said steering machinery is equipped with a steering cylinder, a steering arm,
steering linkages and a plane turning bearing, the plane turning bearing is mounted
on the wheel support frame being connected to an upper structure body for steering
the wheel; each wheel support frame is equipped with steering linkages, a steering
arm is mounted between the ends of two steering linkages, one end of the steering
cylinder is connected to the steering arm, and the other end of the steering cylinder
is mounted the carrier frame; the swing-resisting and translation machineries for
the hanging tool drives the reel on the reductor by a drive motor, and draws the hanging
tool by the steel rope on the reel; the transport vehicle has four sets of swing-resisting
and translation machineries for the hanging tool, being arranged in two invert trumpet
shape so that the hanging tool is in tension state and is possible to translate; the
lifting machinery has a fixed non-extending structure fitting both the 40 feet container
operation and the 20 feet container operation.
[0006] The container transport vehicle for transporting across containers of the present
invention is a new type of the loading/unloading and transport device for containers.
The container transport vehicle uses a four wheel drive and can lift one container
and transport it in horizontal, the container transport vehicle also can prevent the
container from swing. The container transport vehicle can be used to replace the container
trucks. The purpose of the invention is to transport containers rapidly and reach
the selected position, performing the horizontal transportation of the containers
between the front side of dock and the stack field. The container transport vehicle
also takes and unloads containers itself, that is, the containers on dock can be lifted
or unloaded to the ground by the container transport vehicle.
[0007] The most advantages of the container transport vehicle for transporting across containers
of the present invention are the flexibility, the rapid horizontal transportation,
the fast alignment of position. And the container transport vehicle can lift and unload
the containers by itself. The shore bridge only need to unload the container to the
front side of dock, it is unnecessary for the bridge to align the container trucks
accurately, the container transport vehicle can take containers by itself and transport
them to stack fields rapidly, when it reaches the stack field position, it is unnecessary
to align the stack field crane and only need to unload the containers to the ground.
According to the present invention, the operation efficiency of the shore bridge is
increased significantly.

Detailed description of preferred embodiment
[0009] With reference to figure 1 and 2, a container transport vehicle according to the
invention is equipped with a large carrier frame 1, a diesel set 2 being used as a
power supply, a wheel support frame 3, a large carrier drive machinery 4, a lifting
machinery 5,a steering machinery, wheels 6, and the swing-resisting machinery and
the hanging tool 9.
[0010] With reference to figure 3, the large carrier drive machinery 4 is composed of a
large carrier drive motor 41 mounted on the wheel support frame 3, a large carrier
reductor 42 and a wheel side brake 43, the electric drive is used for the large carrier
drive. The large carrier drive motor 41 is connected to the high speed shaft of the
large carrier reductor 42 directly to drive the large carrier reductor 42. The wheel
support frame and the low speed shaft of the large carrier reductor 42 are connected
to the shaft of the wheel 6 to turn the wheel 6. The wheel side brake 43 is driven
by the hydraulic means and mounted in the hub 61. The whole large carrier drive machinery
4 is composed of four wheel support frames 3, each wheel support frame 3 is equipped
with the large carrier drive motor 41, the large carrier reductor 42 and the wheel
side brake 43.
[0011] The lifting machinery 5 is arranged in the middle of the large carrier frame 1, the
lifting machinery 5 is equipped with four cylinders being connected to the hanging
tool 9, the lifting of the hanging tools 9 and the unloading of the containers 10
are carried out by the extending and contracting of the cylinder 5.
[0012] With reference to figure 4 and 5, the steering machinery is equipped with a steering
cylinder 71, a steering arm 72, steering linkages 73 and a plane turning 74. The plane
turning bearing 74 is mounted at the upper portion of the wheel support frame 3 and
connected to the upper structure body so that the wheel 6 may be steered. Each wheel
support frame 3 is equipped with steering linkage 73, the steering arm 72 is mounted
between the ends of two steering linkages 73, one end of the steering cylinder 71
is connected to the steering arm, and the other end of the steering cylinder 72 is
mounted on the large carrier frame.
[0013] The steering wheel controlling the direction of the container transport vehicle is
mounted in the driver chamber, the wheels on the carrier frame are driven by the hydraulic
system, the steering cylinders, the steering linkages to carry out the steering action
and the braking action. When the container transport vehicle need be steered, a operator
turns the steering wheel in the driver chamber, the hydraulic steering system may
be controlled by the steering wheel, the steering cylinders are driven to extend or
contract, then the steering arms are turned by the steering cylinders, the steering
linkages are displaced by the steering arms, finally the carrier frames and the wheels
are driven to carry out the steering action. The steering angle of the inner side
wheel is different to that of the outer side wheel, their radius of the turning are
also different. When an operator steps on the braking paddle in the driver chamber,
the wheels may be prevented from running by the wheel brakes so that the container
transport vehicle can be stopped.
[0014] With reference to figure 6, in order to assure that the hanging tools do not swing
during the transportation, and to successfully align between the hanging tools and
the container by one time, the container transport vehicle is equipped with the swing-resisting
and translation machineries for the hanging tool.
[0015] In the swing-resisting and translation machineries for the hanging tool, the reels
14 on the reductors 13 are driven by the drive motors 12, and the hanging tools 9
are pulled by the steel ropes 15 on the reels 14. In the container transport vehicle
there are four sets of the swing resisting and translation machinery 11 which are
arranged in two invert trumpet shape so that the hanging tools are in the tension
state and is possible to translate. In figure 6, the reference sign 16 is designated
as the unloading buckle, 17 is the gate frame saddle beam, 18 is the gate frame inner
side, and 19 is the gate frame out side.
[0016] The hanging tool has the fixed non-extending and contracting structure which is suitable
for the 40 feet container operation and the 20 feet container operation.
[0017] The main parameters of the across container transport vehicle for the container according
to the invention are as follows:

1. A container transport vehicle for transporting across containers, including:
a large carrier frame;
a diesel set being used as a power supply;
a wheel support frame incorporating with a large carrier redactor;
a large carrier drive machinery; and
wheels, hanging tools and swing-resisting and translation machineries for the hanging
tool,
wherein, the vehicle further includes,
a lifting machinery and a steering machinery;
said large carrier drive machinery comprises a large carrier drive motor mounted on
the wheel support frame, the large carrier reductor and wheel side brakes, the large
carrier drive motor is connected to the large carrier reductor, the wheel side brakes
are driven by a hydraulic means and are mounted in hubs, the large drive machinery
comprises four wheel support frames;
said lifting machinery is mounted in the middle of the large carrier frame, and equipped
with four cylinders being connected to the hanging tools;
said steering machinery is equipped with a steering cylinder, a steering arm, steering
linkages and a plane turning bearing, the plane turning bearing is mounted on the
wheel support frame being connected to an upper structure body for steering the wheel;
each wheel support frame is equipped with steering linkages, a steering arm is mounted
between the ends of two steering linkages, one end of the steering cylinder is connected
to the steering arm, and the other end of the steering cylinder is mounted the carrier
frame;
the swing-resisting and translation machineries for the hanging tool drives the reel
on the reductor by a drive motor, and draws the hanging tool by the steel rope on
