(54) Toroidal tank

(57) The invention solves the problem of a toroidal tank. It is characteristic for two bottoms, where one bottom has an opening under the valve block 4. The block 4 consists of a box with the bottom 5 and side walls 6.
The valve openings 7, 8,9, 10 are situated at different surfaces of the box 4
The box_4 is situated at the corner level of one of the bottoms 1 and 2 of the tank.

Description

[0001] The object of the invention comprises the toroidal tank.

[0002] A tank with two bottoms and connection heads in its upper or bottom levels of the covers is known from the European Patent description EP 0 969 242 and the French description FR 2 756 516.

[0003] The heads consist of "U" - shaped boxes.

[0004] The outlet level of the heads is perpendicular in relation to the horizontal axis of the tanks.

[0005] The idea of the invention is, that the toroidal tank with two bottoms, one with an opening for a valve block which comprises a box with a bottom and sidewalls, has valve openings characteristic for their location at different surfaces of the box situated on the corner level of one of the bottoms.

[0006] The bottoms have oval corners, while the surface of the bottom at the edge of connection with the box is formed, creating at least two connection edges.

[0007] The central opening of the bottom is closed with covers.

[0008] Covers are convex.

[0009] The box has cylindrical sides.

[0010] The sides of the box arc the surface of a truncated cone connected with the bottom by one of its bases.

[0011] At least one valve opening is situated in the sidewall of the box.

[0012] Opening under the refueling valve is situated on the side surface of the box.

[0013] At least one refueling valve is situated in the corner of the connection of the sides of the box with the bottom.

[0014] Valve openings under refueling valve and fuel level gauge are situated in the corners of the connection of the box sides with its bottom.

[0015] Construction of a toroidal tank, according to the invention allows for uncomplicated assembly and is an open space construction.

[0016] The object of invention is demonstrated at the attached drawing at which fig.1 represents a perspective view of toroidal tank with a valve block consisting of cylinder sided box, fig.2 represents a side view of the toroidal tank including elements inside the tank, fig. 3 represents a top view of the toroidal tank, fig.4 represents a top view of the valve block of a cylindrical side, fig.5 represents A-A intersection of the valve box with fig.4, fig 6 represents B-B intersection of the valve box with fig.4.

[0017] Toroidal tank, according to the invention has two bottoms 1 and 2, where there is an opening 3 in one bottom under the valve block 4 consisting of a box with a bottom 5 and side walls 6.

[0018] The valve block 4 has valve openings: for the security valve 7 and the fuel intake valve 8, the fuel level gauge 9 and the refueling valve 10.

[0019] The valve openings 7, 8, 9, 10 are situated at different surfaces of the box 4 situated at the corner plane of one of the bottoms 2.

[0020] The bottoms 1 and 2 mostly have oval corners, whereas the surface of the bottom at the connection edge in the box 4 is shaped creating at least two convex edges 11 and 12 of connection with the box 4.

[0021] The bottoms 1 and 2 are stamp pressed with oval edges and a separate pressed part. They are connected with each other as well as with the inner pipe 13 connecting them in the internal part and creating a cylindrical opening 14.

[0022] The cylindrical opening 14 is closed with covers 15, which can be convex. The box 4 has cone shaped sides. The sides of the box 4 can also be created by the surface of the cut cone connected with the bottom with one of its bases or by the surface of another solid shaped figure.

[0023] It is similar with the bottom 5 which does not have to be necessary flat.

[0024] The valve openings can be situated as in the bottom 5 of the box 4 as well as in other places of the surface of the box 4.

[0025] It is preferable when valve openings under refueling valve 10 and the fuel level gauge 9 are situated in the corners of the side connections 6 of the box 4 with its bottom 5.

[0026] The box 4 has openings 16 in its sides 6 for assembly of stub pipes for connection pipes of valves and fuel level gauge. The openings are also used for exhaust of fumes in case of possible leakage at connection of the valves.

[0027] A crooked pipe 17 for emergency exhaust of gases at the bottom of the box 4 is connected with the opening under emergency valve 7, while the pipe 18 is connected from the bottom of the box with the fuel intake opening 8 and nearly reaches the bottom surface and is used for the fuel intake.

[0028] Valve openings 7,8,9,10 are situated above stamp pressed part 19 of the bottom.
