(54) A securing device for securing a plate glass or panel


(57) The device comprises a profile (1) having a longitudinal retention cavity (4) adapted to receive an edge of said plate glass or panel (2) through a longitudinal opening (14). The retention cavity (4) comprises a bottom wall (17) and a side wall (13) facing an inclined plane (10). A wedge-shaped fixing strip (3) is arranged inside the retention cavity (4) between the inclined plane (10) and said plate glass or panel (2). A screw (11) having one end facing to the fixing strip (3) and an actuation head accessible from the outside is installed through a hole (16) formed in profile (1). A force exerted by the screw (11) when tightened on the strip (3) causes said fixing strip (3) to move against the inclined plane (10) and against the plate glass or panel (2), thereby it is pressed against the side wall (13) of the retention cavity (4).
