(57) A cradle (23,23') for rotatably supporting at least one drive spool (19,21) for a window covering (1), about which a drive cord (13,15) is windable, said cradle comprising:
a pair of left and right bearing blocks (35,37, 35',37') in side-by-side relationship, a bottom web (39,41,39',41') connecting the left and right bearing blocks (35,37,35',37') and a first opening (45,45',183,185) in the bottom of the cradle (23,23') for at least one cord portion of the drive cord to extend through and wherein the cradle further including at least one cord guide (47,49,51,53, 47',49',51',53') on the bottom web or on one of the bearing blocks.
