(57) Clamping bracket (1) for fastening a sign, such as a traffic sign, street name sign or suchlike to a pole, said clamping bracket (1) comprising a U-shaped section which can be pushed over the circumference of the pole, and a bolt that connects the two legs (4,5) of the U-shaped section to each other and with which the distance between the legs (4,5) can be adjusted whereby each end section of the U-shaped section is provided with groove-shaped recesses (15,16) that can engage in an edge section of the sign.
