(57) The invention relates to a side surface espagnolette (1) for locking a door or window,
the side surface espagnolette comprising a pivotable hook bolt (5). The invention
also relates to an assembly of a screening element (16), in particular a window or
door, and a side surface espagnolette according to the invention accommodated at least
partially in the screening element for the purpose of locking said door or said window.
