[0001] The present invention relates to an assembly of a garden-furniture suite comprising
an individual table and a pair of individual benches - "individual" meaning without
providing a basis plate to hold said three components together, the working areas
of said garden-furniture suite components in said assembly in folded position being
protected to the outside, with supporting frameworks of said three garden-furniture
suite components being used to get said assembly put up.
[0002] An assembly of a garden-furniture suite of the kind set forth above is known from
DE3148572A1 to Pfeifer disclosed to read
garden furniture, such as table, bench, stool or the like. In a folded state, the table's working area that with a suitable embodiment of said
antecedent solution can (due to the division along a diagonal) only be square, sub
ordinarily round, is protected to the outside by that a swing able half of table's
working area gets swung onto a stationary area thereof, while in a folded state a
stool's/bench's sitting area is protected to the outside by that a swing able back
gets swung onto a stationary sitting area.
[0003] An assembly of a garden-furniture suite of the kind set forth above is also known
from
EP1092364A1 to
Maiser disclosed to read
table and bench for use in party tents and beer gardens. The said antecedent invention aims to be made from plastics and, as such, it tends
to constitute the table's and bench's elements identical.
[0004] In assembled state, between a table and a stool/bench none of the above cited antecedent
disclosures shows an assembling correlation; in question is uniform folding of the
table
per se, the stool/bench
per se and piling thereof by superposing each other or arranging beside one another.
technical background.
[0006] There exist combined organizing/technical and other aspects according to which a
table and a pair of benches belonging to it shall be treated as a constructional unit
at keeping, transporting and placing thereof. Hence, a goal of the present invention
has been created to provide, within the frame of the field of the invention as defined
in the introductory part of this description, an assembly of a garden-fumiture suite
comprising an individual table and a pair of individual benches, with between said
table and said benches existing a correlation to provide a set that, in addition,
enables creating an assembly capable of being tightened to constitute a transporting
unit.
[0007] Basically, said goal of the present invention is achieved by a correlation of components
of set based on locking by form. By said correlation of components of set based on
locking by form, a compact assembly is obtained as such preferable for transporting
and storing purposes.
[0008] In the assembly, there constitute: the table an inner part, the benches two outer
parts thereof. Such an arrangement results in that foot traverses of reverse T-stands
of table, stem-like stands of backs of benches and stem-like stands of seats of benches
constitute an outer protecting reinforcement of assembly.
[0009] In the assembly, the table is an indivisible unity, while each bench is divided to
a separate back of bench and a separate seat of bench. First of all, it is about a
dimensional aspect: when assembled, the level of back of bench that in use is normally
higher than the level of table is adapted i.e. reduced, with respect to the level
of table.
[0010] In more detail, said table comprises the above-mentioned reverse T-stands that are
mutually connected, whose foot traverses constitute ground supporting elements of
a table infrastructure, while their vertical legs support on the one hand table halves
suspended thereon swing ably by means of respective hinges, and on the other hand
they support consoles for supporting said table halves, said consoles placed on said
legs by means of bearing sleeves positioned below said hinges. Hence, in the position
of table halves swung down, and supporting consoles rotated inwards, the supporting
consoles reside pair wise side by side; all, four, supporting consoles thus residing
in the area between said reverse T-stands and said table halves, respectively.
[0011] Alternatively, as regards said supporting consoles (to support said table halves),
swing console supports (YU41136) and folding console supports (YU41673), respectively,
can be applied. In that case, the consoles get folded around horizontal axes.
[0012] Said swing console support (YU41136) and folding console support (YU41673), respectively,
comprises a two part diagonal element whose member residing next to a swing able supported
element co-operates with a trigger lever.
[0013] The seat of bench of the proposed assembly comprises stem-like stands, whose foot
parts constitute rear ground supporting elements of an infrastructure of seat of bench,
while their vertical legs carry on the one hand a sitting board suspended thereon
by means of hinges, and on the other hand they support consoles for supporting said
sitting board, said consoles placed on said legs by means of bearing sleeves positioned
below said hinges. Thus, between the table and benches of the proposed assembly a
constructional analogy is given.
[0014] In addition, said two sitting-board supporting consoles constitute front ground supporting
elements of said infrastructure of seat of bench. Since no front leg as a special
component is needed, the proposed inventive solution is thus considered reductive,
as to the material requirements.
[0015] Alternatively, as regards said supporting consoles (to support said seat of bench),
swing console supports (YU41136) and folding console supports (YU41673), respectively,
can be applied.
[0016] Besides, a combined embodiment of the proposed assembly is possible providing table
halves supported by consoles rotate able around vertical axes and seats of benches
supported by swing console supports (YU41136) (and folding console supports (YU41673),
respectively)
v.v.
[0017] As to the said back of inventive bench, a combination of a back board and at least
two stem-like stands is in question, said stem-like stands being constructed to be
inserted into or shifted onto the mating stem-like stands of said seat of bench. Such
a design results in that all elements of the table's and benches' infrastructures
can be made from materials of the same kind.
[0018] Hereinafter, the invention is, without ambition to get limited on it, disclosed on
the basis of embodiments of the inventive assembly shown in enclosed drawings, where
- FIG. 1
- is a vertical transverse sectional elevation of inventive assemblies in folded position,
and
- FIG. 2
- is a vertical transverse sectional elevation of the inventive assemblies in folded
position, both figures composed in a principal i.e. highly simplified way.
[0019] The inventive assembly is composed of a table 1 that constitutes an inner part of
assembly, and two benches 2 that constitute outer parts of assembly. Contrary to the
fact that in the proposed assembly the table 1 is preferably an indivisible unity;
each bench 2 is, particularly due to the dimensional reasons, divided to a separate
bench back 3 and a separate bench seat 4. As to the said dimensional reason, it should
be noted that when assembled, the level of back 3 that in use of a bench 2 is normally
higher than the level of table 1 is adapted i.e. reduced with respect to the level
of table 1.
[0020] Said table 1 comprises two reverse T-stands 5, whose foot traverses constitute ground-sided
supporting elements 1 of a table infrastructure, while their vertical legs support
on the one hand table halves 7 of a table plate suspended thereon swing ably by means
of respective hinges 6, and on the other hand they support consoles (not shown) for
supporting said table halves, said consoles placed on said legs by means of bearing
sleeves 8 positioned below said hinges 6, precisely two supporting consoles per each
table half 7. With this, preferable, embodiment of an assembly of a garden-furniture
suite, said hinges 6 provide for swing ability of table halves 7 down, and said bearing
sleeves 8 provide for elements that to said (four) table-halves' supporting consoles
leave the freedom of movement around vertical legs of reverse T-stands 5. Preferably,
the said freedom of movement, suitably freedom of movement inwards, of supporting
consoles of table's halves 7 around vertical legs of reverse T-stands 5 is limited
to 90°. Without doubt, realization of automatic return of table's halves 7 into the
working position (not shown) is possible.
[0021] In an alternative embodiment of inventive assembly of a garden-furniture suite, also
possible according to the present invention, the supporting consoles (to support said
table halves 7) are either swing console supports YU41136 and folding console supports
YU41673, respectively. In that case, the consoles get folded around horizontal axes.
[0022] Seat 4 of the proposed assembly analogously comprises stem-like stands 9, whose foot
parts constitute rear ground-sided supporting elements of an infrastructure of seat
4, while their vertical legs carry on the one hand a sitting board 11 suspended thereon
by means of hinges 10, and on the other hand they support consoles (not shown) for
supporting said sitting board 11, said consoles placed on said legs by means of bearing
sleeves 12 positioned below said hinges 10. With this embodiment, in use, said supporting
consoles of seat 11 also constitute front legs of seat 4. With this preferable embodiment
of an assembly of a garden-furniture suite, said hinges 10 provide for swing ability
of seat 11 down, while said bearing sleeves 12 constitute elements that to said supporting
consoles of sitting board 11 leave the freedom of movement around axes of stem-like
stands 9. The said freedom of movement, preferably inwards, of supporting consoles
of sitting board 11 around axes of stem-like stands 9 is suitably limited to 90°.
Self returning (not shown) of supporting consoles of sitting board 11 to the working
position is possible.
[0023] An alternative inventive assembly of a garden-furniture suite, also possible, provides
with the support consoles of sitting board 11 swing console supports YU41136 and folding
console supports YU41673, respectively.
[0024] Besides, a combined embodiment of the proposed assembly is possible providing table
halves supported by consoles rotate able around vertical axes and seats of benches
supported by swing console supports YU41136 (and folding console supports YU41673,
respectively)
v.v.
[0025] As to the back 3 of inventive bench 2, a combination of a back board 13 and at least
two stem-like stands 14 is in question, said stem-like stands being constructed to
be inserted into or shifted onto the mating stem-like stands 9 of seat 4.
[0026] Normally, as to the altitude, the working position of seat 4 and back 3 of inventive
bench 2 in assembled state is fixed. To this end, snap connections known
per se are suitable.
[0027] In order to transform the inventive assembly of a garden-fumiture suite composed
of a table and a pair of benches to a transportable/storing set, the table's halves
7 of table 1 get swung down, the back 3 of each inventive bench 2 gets separated from
seat 4, the sitting boards 11, too, get swung down, the seats 4 get shifted to the
vertical legs of reverse T-stands 5, each back 3 gets put on the respective seat 4
and, if necessary, the assembly thus created gets tightened (by a belt or the like).
[0028] With the inventive assembly of a garden-furniture suite as shown, the foot traverse
of reverse T-stand 5 provides a part that in the assembled condition of set has the
greatest extension by width of set (a first feature), the foot parts of stem-like
stands 9 of seat 4 are designed each as an L-element (a second feature), and the stem-like
stands 9 of seat 4 are supported by said foot traverses of reverse T-stands 5 (a third
feature). Practically, however, neither the said first nor the second or third feature
is obligatory.
