(57) Cogwheel assembly lock with retention mechanism for metal frames, characterised by the fact that output wheel (4) engages with the cogged rack of the descending closure plate (1), the output wheel (4) operating in a hollow (6) formed in the edge of the descending closure plate (1) and because it includes handle (17) retraction functions through the descending closure plate (1), jointly with the input wheel (3), and because it has the means to automatically hold in place the cogwheel assembly in the absence of the lock's cylinder (5).
