Abstract

 System of a mounting device and one or more sanitary accessories such as a bottle holder or a soap tray, and/or one or more aids such as a bracket or a bucket holder, this mounting device being adapted for attachment to one or more tap connections in a wall or an adapter thereof, wherein the system can be mounted without damaging the wall and/or tap.

Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a system of a mounting device and one or more sanitary accessories and/or one or more aids, this mounting device being adapted for attachment to one or more tap connections in a wall.

[0002] Such a system is known from European patent application EP0780082.

[0003] The known system relates to a holder for toiletry articles which is placed on a mixer tap. The holder is held in place by clamps on the underside of the holder which are clamped on the feed pipes of the tap. The holder can in this way be mounted on the tap without damage. The holder has the drawback that a specific embodiment must be designed and manufactured for each type of mixer tap. The holder also has the drawback that the holder is limited to being a holding device for toiletry articles.

[0004] The invention has for its object to provide a more comprehensive and alternative system of the type stated in the preamble, which retains the above stated advantage of the known system but does not have the drawbacks of the known system.

[0005] For this purpose the system according to the invention has the feature that the mounting device comprises at least one clamping part intended for clamping close to the wall by means of at least one finishing element for the one or more tap connections. An advantage of the system according to the invention is that the system can always be mounted, irrespective of the type of tap. Since the distance from the wall of the supporting part of the system according to the invention is shorter than in the known system, the system according to the invention is also able to bear a heavier load than the known system (lever principle). Other options for use hereby come within reach.

[0006] According to a first preferred embodiment of the invention, the clamping part is intended for clamping between the wall and the finishing element for the one or more tap connections. In this way existing finishing elements can be used to clamp the clamping part.

[0007] According to a second preferred embodiment of the invention, the clamping part has at least one recess for the purpose of at least partly receiving at least one tap connection. The clamping part preferably encloses the tap connection only partially. It is possible in this manner to arrange the clamping part between the wall and the finishing element without removing the finishing element in its entirety. For practical reasons however, the clamping part can wholly enclose a tap connection, for instance so as to give the system more load-bearing capacity, or for aesthetic reasons.

[0008] According to a third preferred embodiment of the invention, the clamping part is substantially plate-like. By making the clamping part plate-like, the clamping part can be placed as closely as possible against the wall. This has the advantage that the system according to the invention is able to absorb more forces.

[0009] In a further embodiment of the invention the system according to the invention is provided with one or more finishing elements for a tap connection.

[0010] According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the finishing element comprises a narrowed portion for co-action with the recess in the clamping part for at least partly receiving a tap connection. This preferred embodiment can be applied particularly in the case one or more tap connections and/or one or more adapters thereof are for the most part lost in the wall, for instance as a result of incorrect mounting of the tap connection or a thick covering layer on the wall. The clamping part cannot then support sufficiently on the tap connection or the adapter thereof. A better fit of the clamping part is obtained by receiving the recess in the clamping part at least partially in the finishing element by means of a narrowed portion.

[0011] According to another further development of these preferred embodiments of the invention, the finishing element consists of at least two co-acting parts which are adapted for placing therebetween of the clamping part. The clamping part is hereby clamped indirectly against the wall. A first part of the finishing element is intended for placing between the clamping part and the wall, and has a sealing function. Following once-only fitting, this first part no longer need be removed. The (dis)assembly of the same system, or other embodiments thereof, can take place by (dis)assembling the second part of the finishing element which co-acts with the first part.

[0012] According to a practical preferred embodiment of the invention, the finishing element for the tap connection is a rosette. A rosette is applied in practice to conceal a tap connection from view, and is highly suitable for clamping the clamping part directly or indirectly against the wall within the scope of the present invention.

[0013] According to another practical preferred embodiment of the invention, the aid is a support element for a person. The system according to the invention can provide a solution particularly in situations where a person temporarily requires support means. According to yet another practical preferred embodiment of the invention, the aid is a support element for an object. This preferred embodiment of the invention is highly suitable for objects which are heavy and/or difficult to handle, such as for instance a bucket. According to yet another practical preferred embodiment of the invention, the sanitary accessory is a holder for toiletry articles such as for instance bottles or soap. It is possible for instance to temporarily mount both variants of the support element as well as the holder for toiletry articles without damage on the wall behind the tap.

[0014] In a further embodiment of the invention the system according to the invention is intended for attachment to the tap connections for a mixer tap.

[0016] Figure 1A shows a perspective view of a first preferred embodiment of system 1 according to the invention, mounted on the tap connections of a mixer tap 3 in wall 2. System 1 comprises a holder 6 for toiletry articles for personal hygiene, for instance a bottle of shampoo. Fixed to holder 6 is the clamping part 5, which is partially clamped between rosettes 4 and wall 2. The whole system 1 is preferably embodied in water-resistant materials, such as stainless steel and plastic. For promotional activities, holder 6 can be made suitable for only specific types of bottle from one manufacturer.

[0017] Figure 1 B shows an exploded view of the preferred embodiment of system 1 according to the invention as shown in Figure 1A. In practice the adapters 7-1 and 7-2 are mounted as standard on tap connections 8-1 and 8-2 in order to enable straight fitting of the mixer tap. For this reason the adapters 7-1 and 7-2 form an integral part of tap connections 8-1 and 8-2. Mounting device 5 is provided with recesses 9-1 and 9-2 which only partly enclose adapters 7-1 and 7-2. It is hereby possible to fit system 1 without disassembling mixer tap 3. System 1 herein supports on adapter 7-2, while rotation of system 1 round adapter 7-2 is prevented by recess 9-1.

[0018] Figures 2A, 2B and 2C show different second embodiments of system 1 according to the invention with different clamping parts 5 with accessory, in this example a soap tray 6. Recesses 9-1 and 9-2 are intended to partially enclose the tap connections or adapters thereof. It is hereby possible to fit system 1 without any disassembly of components of the mixer tap. It is however also possible for recesses 9-1 and/or 9-2 to wholly enclose the tap connections. In this case the tap must first be disassembled in order to fit the system on tap connections 8-1 and 8-2.

[0019] Figure 3 shows in an inset a cross-section of a rosette 4-1 with narrowed portion 10 for co-action with recess 9-1 in clamping part 5. The narrowed portion 10 can have a depth which is smaller than or equal to the thickness of the clamping part, whereby rosette 4-1 can be screwed right up to wall 2 after mounting. In addition, narrowed portion 10 can also have a depth which is greater than the thickness of the clamping part, whereby part of the narrowed portion remains visible after mounting. This part can for instance be used to attach a suspended element (not shown). Recess 9-1 preferably encloses adapter 7-1 in its entirety so as to prevent water entering rosette 4-1.

[0020] Figure 4A shows a perspective view of a rosette 4-1 of two co-acting rosette parts 4-1-1, 4-1-2, which are adapted for placing therebetween of clamping part 5. Figure 4B shows rosette 4-1 in mounted situation on a (mixing) tap 3 close to a wall 2, with a sanitary accessory, for instance soap tray 6, clamped between rosette parts 4-1-1, 4-1-2. After placing of rosette part 4-1-2 on adapter 7-1 of a pipe connection of mixer tap 3, clamping part 5 is placed on the adapter. Rosette part 4-1-1 is then arranged on adapter 7-1 so that clamping part 5 is clamped between rosette parts 4-1-1 and 4-1-2. The first rosette part 4-1-2 ensures the sealing with wall 2 and can usually stay in position after fitting. (Dis)assembly of second rosette part 4-1-1 suffices for (dis)assembly of accessory 6. Rosette part 4-1-2 preferably has an extra inner ring 18 onto which recess 9-1 of clamping part 5 fits. Through the use of this rosette 4-1 no water can enter between the parts of rosette 4-1, clamping part 5 and the wall. The two co-acting parts 4-1-1, 4-1-2 of rosette 4-1 are preferably coupled to each other by means of a screw connection.

[0021] Figure 5A shows a perspective view of a third preferred embodiment of system 1 according to the invention, wherein system 1 comprises brackets 11-1 and 11-2. Figure 5B shows an exploded view of this preferred embodiment. Since a considerable load can be placed on system 1 during use, it is recommended that recesses 9-1 and 9-2 wholly enclose adapters 7-1 and 7-2. In addition, it is recommended that special rosettes 4-1 and 4-2 are used, which are more robust and can be tightened more firmly than conventional rosettes. For this purpose these rosettes are preferably provided on the outside with a ribbed surface.

[0023] Figure 6A shows a preferred embodiment of system 1 according to the invention with a dispenser 12, wherein shower hose 13 is guided through the reservoir of dispenser 12. During use of the shower the content of dispenser 12 is heated by the hot water running through shower hose 13. The user hereby has for instance warm soap or shampoo available.

Claims

1. System of a mounting device and one or more sanitary accessories and/or one or more aids, this mounting device being adapted for attachment to one or more tap connections in a wall, characterized in that the mounting device comprises at least one clamping part (5) intended for clamping close to the wall (2) by means of at least one finishing element (4-1,..4-n) for the one or more tap connections (8-1,..8-n).

2. System as claimed in claim 1, wherein the clamping part (5) is intended for clamping between the wall (2) and the finishing element (4-1,..4-n) for the one or more tap connections (8-1,..8-n).

3. System as claimed in claims 1 and 2, wherein the clamping part (5) comprises at least one recess (9-1,..9-n) for the purpose of at least partly receiving at least one tap connection (8-1,..8-n).

4. System as claimed in claims 1-3, wherein the clamping part (5) is substantially plate-like.

5. System as claimed in claims 1-4, wherein one or more finishing elements (4-1,..4-n) for a tap connection (8-1,..8-n) also form part of the system (1).

6. System as claimed in claims 3-5, wherein the finishing element (4-1,..4-n) comprises a narrowed portion (10) for co-action with the recess (9-1,..9-n) in the clamping part (5) for at least partly receiving a tap connection (8-1,..8-n).

7. System as claimed in claims 1-6, wherein the finishing element (4-1,..4-n) consists of at least two co-acting parts (4-n-1, 4-n-2) which are adapted for placing therebetween of the clamping part (5).

8. System as claimed in claims 1-7, wherein the finishing element (4-1,..4-n) is a rosette.

9. System as claimed in claims 1-8, wherein the aid comprises a support element (11,15) for a person.

10. System as claimed in claims 1-8, wherein the aid comprises a support element for an object (16).

11. System as claimed in claims 1-8, wherein the sanitary accessory (6) comprises a holder for toiletry articles.

12. System as claimed in claims 1-11, wherein the tap connections (8-1,..8-n) are intended for connection of a mixer tap (3).
