(54) Unit comprising a shower cabin and a shower tray together defining a wash compartment, and a method for retaining water in its interior


(57) The unit (1) comprises a shower cabin (2) and a shower tray (3) together defining a wash compartment (4). The shower cabin (2) comprises a support structure supporting walls (9) which have their lower edge (15) spaced from the shower tray (3) to define a passage (16), such that the water flowing along the inner surfaces of the walls (9) and falling into the shower tray (3) draws in an air flow (A) through the passage (16) to hinder leakage of this water from the wash compartment (4). The method for retaining water inside the unit consists of passing air through the passage (16) formed between the shower tray (3) and the walls (9) defining the shower cabin (2), so that the air hinders water leakage.
