[0001] One form of embodiment is described on drawings fig. 1, 2, 3 and 4. Referring to
claim no. 1 for the invention the form of embodiment can consist of a seat (1) with
an inside dimension from the outer measure of the wine bag-in-box. The seat (1) has
an end plate (2) giving support to the wine bag-in-box while it becomes raised or
lowered. A locking system referring to claim no. 2 is shown as lock pawls (3) with
a release handle (4) fitted on the endplate (2). The lock pawls are activated by a
spring (5).
[0002] The seat (1) is suspended in axle journals (6) so the seat can move the wine bag-in-box
from up standing and down to laying position. The seat (1) is mounted in standard
consisting of the side plates (7) and (8) being kept together by the spacing piece
(9). Between the side plates (7) and (8) referring to claim no. 3, a drip catcher
plate (10) can be mounted with axle journal (11). The drip catcher plate, referring
to claim no. 4, can be arranged to keep a moisture absorbing body (12).
[0003] On the outside of the side plates (7) and (8) referring to claim no. 5, bearings
(13) can be mounted in which handles (14) are mounted making it possible to transport
the standard including a wine bag-in-box by one hand.
PRIOR ART
Background of the invention.
[0004] The invention comprises a standard for a wine bag-in-box.
[0005] The invention is made to make it easy and safe to tap vine from a wine bag-in-box,
which from the beginning can have a weight of 3 kg or more.
[0006] Up to now wine has been distributed in wine bottles made from glass. A type of wine
bag-in-box has now been invented for sale of wine in a quantity of 3 litres or more.
This method with wine in an oxygen impenetrable plastic bag with a draw valve in a
cardboard box is a conquest, because the consumer by this system can get his demanded
quantity of wine drawn without giving inlet to an equal volume of atmosphere into
the said bag.
[0007] It is however a difficult duty to handle a 3-litre bag-in-box, because in full condition
it has a weight of approximately 3 kg.
[0008] To handle the wine bag-in-box for drawing a glass of wine it is necessary to hold
the weight of the wine bag-in-box in the one hand and operate the draw valve with
the other.
[0009] Of course you can dispense the volume of wine you expect to consume into a decanter
and afterwards fill the wine glasses. Using this procedure you are going to loose
the advantage with only tapping the volume that gets drunk. At the same time you get
an anonymous wine on the table, and you will loose the often very informative and
good looking print on the cardboard box having an informative code for the present
type of wine.
[0010] Of course you can place the wine bag-in-box on the table top with the tap valve jutting
out from the edge of the table top and this way hold a glass beneath the tap and fill
up the wanted amount of wine. The operator will at this procedure have to move his
chair out from his sitting position to be able to operate the tap. This method causes
the risk of spilling wine on the floor, if the valve is a bit leaking or not safely
operated. The result will be stains on the flooring.
[0011] This invention will make it comfortable to use the wine bag-in-box, while the wine
consumer is sitting at his table. If the wine consumer sitting at the table wishes
to tap vine into a glass, the wine bag-in-box must be elevated to a practical level
over the tabletop.
[0012] The present invention has the purpose to bring the wine bag-in-box up to a necessary
level over the tabletop to make it possible to keep a glass under the tap to fill
the wanted amount of wine.
[0013] A known version forms a standard that consists of a tube with an intermediate bottom
placed at short distance from one end of the tube. The wine bag-in-box can be placed
on the intermediate bottom to obtain a position in a suitable height to allow a wineglass
be kept under the wine tap and filled.
[0014] The tube formed standard can after the wine tapping is finished be turned upside
down and provide space inside to the wine bag-in-box for store as one unit until next
time you want a glass of wine.
[0015] The new feature that is obtained by this invention is unlike other types of standards
for wine bag-in-boxes that you can raise and lower the wine bag-in-box from the store
position and up to the tapping position, while the standard is standing at the tabletop.
[0016] When you use a standard where the wine bag-in-box can be raised and lowered while
it is fitted in its seat you get the advantage that the operator does not have to
support the wine bag-in-box by one hand while the standard was turned upside down
to change from tapping position to store position and in the same way afterwards back
again.
1. Wine bag-in-box standard, which consists of two vertical side plates (7) and (8) being
kept together by one or more spacing pieces (9) and a moveable seat (1), which is
placed between said side plates, the seat has an inside dimension that fits the outer
measure of the wine bag-in-box, where the seat is provided with an endplate (2) characterized in that the seat is hung up on some axle journals (6) said axle journals are asymmetrically
located in relation to the symmetric axis of the wine bag-in-box.
2. Wine bag-in-box standard referring to claim no. 1 characterized in that a lock system consists in lock pawls (3) with release handle (4) and spring (5).
3. Wine bag-in-box standard referring to claim no. 1-2 characterized in that the standard has a drip catcher plate (10) mounted on an axle journal (11).
4. Wine bag-in-box standard referring to claim no. 3 characterized in that the drip catcher plate can hold a humidity absorbing body (12).
5. Wine bag-in-box standard referring to claim no. 1-4 characterized in that the standard is provided with a handle (14).
