Paper roll dispenser |
(57) A dispenser of a paper roll to be used for wiping purposes is disclosed. The dispenser
is comprising a housing dimensioned essentially according to the dimensions of a full
paper roll, for accommodating the paper roll. The housing is furnished with an opening
(2) at the lower part of the housing for accessing and dispensing the paper to be
unwound from the roll. The dispenser includes a holder (3) for accommodating the useful
rest of the previous roll for use after a full refill-roll is loaded in the housing..

|
[0001] The present invention concerns a dispenser to be used for dispensing a continuous
paper web from a roll. Primarily, the invention concerns a dispenser to be used for
dispensing tissue paper as large-size rolls, like for dispensing toilet paper and
towel paper. The basic construction of the dispenser is known in the art. The dispenser
is dimensioned for one large size towel paper roll. A problem with this kind of a
dispenser is how to anticipate the ending of the paper. In order to avoid problematic
situations, the dispenser is usually filled, depending on the use, according to predetermined
time cycles, weighted so that the situations where the paper runs out can be avoided.
As a result, there is in general quite a big portion of the roll still available in
the dispenser, when the refilling time is at hand. The stub roll is removed from the
dispenser, replaced by a full roll. This model of operation means a prominent loss
of paper.
[0002] A significant improvement to the problem can be provided by means of a dispenser
in accordance with the present invention, the essential characteristics of which become
evident from the enclosed Claim 1. Embodiments for using the invention are included
in the dependent claims.
[0003] The invention will be described in more detail with reference to the enclosed drawing,
wherein
Figure 1 shows the dispenser in accordance with the invention in a normal operating
situation., and
Figure 2 shows the dispenser in accordance with the invention set into the position
of refilling.
[0004] The paper roll dispenser of Figure 1 looks from the outside like a usual, commonly
used dispenser. The housing 1 is dimensioned according to the diameter and width of
the roll to be dispensed, so that the roll is able to rotate in the housing, having
the roll core in a horizontal position. For facilitating the rotation of the roll,
the roll can be mounted on a rotating shaft supporting the roll through the roll core.
The end of the paper web to be unwound from the periphery of the roll is taken out
through an opening at the lower part of the housing to be accessible for the user.
The housing can include a monitoring window for checking the operating situation.
[0005] In the refilling situation of the roll, the front wall of the housing is opened,
and the eventual stub roll in the housing is removed, out of the way of the refill
roll. For the rest of the stub roll, the housing comprises a holder 3, where the stub
roll can be placed in order to be used up. The holder can be, as shown in Figure 2,
arranged to be pulled out from the housing, and respectively pushed back. Correspondingly,
the holder can also be fixed at a certain point of the housing 1.
1. A dispenser of a paper roll to be used for wiping purposes, said dispenser comprising
a housing dimensioned essentially according to the dimensions of the paper roll, for
accommodating the paper roll, and an opening (2) at the lower part of the housing
for accessing and dispensing the paper to be unwound from the roll, characterized in that the dispenser includes a holder (3) for accommodating the useful rest of the previous
roll in a dispensing state, when a full refill-roll is loaded.
2. A dispenser in accordance with Claim 1, characterized in that the holder (3) is arranged to be pulled out from the housing, respectively pushed
back.
