(54) Composite tank

(57) The invention solves the issue of a composite tank and is characteristic for the liner comprising the casing (3) and bottoms (4), while the bottoms (4) have increased thickness in the area of longitudinal axis of the tank, and a composite coating (2) on the casing has two layers (7), and in the area of the bottom, the thickness of the composite layer increases (8) towards the mounting ring (5).

Description

The object of the invention comprises a composite tank.

[0001] The composite tank known from a description of the invention EP 1 571 389 is shaped with a layer covered with outer composite layers, while both the layer and outer layers are of identical thickness in the whole tank. Identical is the thickness of the walls of the casing and bottoms of the layer. This tank has a mounting ring in one bottom along the longitudinal axis which is shaped as the tip end or extension of the layer. Both bottoms of the tank are arch shaped, while the mounting ring is smooth on both sides.

[0002] The composite tank also known from a German patent description DE 197 51 411, where the liner is rectangle shaped with rounded corners. The liner has totally identical thickness of the walls. In the tank axis, the liner has two mounting rings, smooth and integrated with the liner.
On the liner, there are layers of fiber, while around the area of mounting rings, the tank has additional hardened layers.
The nature of the invention comprises the composite tank consisting of the liner and a composite layer, with the liner having a mounting sleeve, characteristic for the liner shaped of the casing and bottoms and a mounting ring, where the thickness of the bottom is increasingly bigger than the thickness of the casing along the longitudinal axis of the tank.
The composite tank consisting a liner and a composite layer and a mounting ring, has a composite layer which is double in the casing part, while it is single in the bottom part, however its thickens increases towards the mounting sleeve.
The thickness of the bottom of the liner is 3 times bigger than the thickness of the casing of the liner. Thickness of the composite layer of the bottom at the mounting ring is up to 3 times bigger from the layer of the composite at the bottom in the area of connection of the liner casing with the bottom.
The liner is made of metal. The liner is preferably made of aluminum.
The composite comprises fiber glass with resin.
The mounting sleeve has inner thread and is preferably finished with necks.

[0003] The shaping of the liner in the area of the axis area of the tank, as well as double composite coating of the casing and the increasing thickness of the composite in the central part of the bottom provides more resistance of the whole tank to breaking and increases pressure resistance of the tank.

[0004] The object of invention has been visualized as an example in the enclosed drawing, in which fig 1 represents a general view with longitudinal section of the composite tank, and fig 2 represents a detail A from fig.1
The composite tank, according to the invention has a liner 1 which is covered with composite layer 2.
The liner 1 is shaped as a cylindrical casing 3 and two bottoms 4.
The bottoms 4 have mounting rings 5 along the longitudinal axis of the tank.
The liner 1 is made of metal, preferably of aluminum.
The thickness of the bottoms 4 is changeable and increases towards the area of mounting rings 5 up to 3 times more than the thickness of the bottoms 4 around connection with the casing 3 as well as thickness of the casing itself 3.
The composite is fiber glass with resin. The composite layer 2 covers the liner 1 in different ways. In the casing part 3 it is a double layer 7, while on the bottom layer 4, it is a single layer 8.
The thickness of the single layer 8 increases towards the mounting sleeve 5 and is about 3 times bigger than the thickness of the layer at the connection of the casing 3 with the bottom 4.
The mounting sleeve 5 has inner thread 9 and is preferably finished with necks 10 for better mounting of a valve or a plug.
