(57) A bottom bar (19, 37,101,201,301) for a window covering. The bottom bar includes an elongated profile (103, 203, 303) having a bottom wall (119, 219, 319), a pair of parallel front and rearwalls (121,123, 221, 223, 321, 323) projecting from said bottom wall defining an internal space (131, 231, 331) suitable for receiving a rod-like means (115,116) for attaching a sheet (3,113) to the bottom bar such that when a sheet is attached to the bottom bar, the sheet and bottom bar combination having an overall height (H). The bottom bar further includes height adjusting means (133A-133E; 245,245A, 371,373,375) for adjusting the overall height (H) of the sheet and bottom bar combination.
