(54) The rack and the method of manufacturing the rack, especially for shelves

(57) The invention solves the issue of a rack and the way of manufacturing of a rack, especially for shelves.
It is characteristic for four support walls (1), in which there are several openings (2). In transverse section, the walls (1) form a cross-like shape.
The method of production of the rack, especially the rack for shelves is characteristic for several openings made in metal sheets; afterwards the metal sheets are bended to T - shape. Such bended metal sheets are connected with one another in order for the openings to be arterial. The connection of metal sheets is done by means of projection welding.

Description

[0001] The object of the invention comprises a rack and the method of its manufacturing, especially for shelves.

[0002] There are known racks, e.g. from the Polish description of a claim of an invention P.355361, a German description of an utility model 9409923, mainly comprising four wall poles in which the openings are made for shelves to be mounted therein.

[0003] There is also a rack comprising a ladder known from European Patent Description EP 0616500, to which a bar is connected which functions as a support - a third support point.

[0004] The method of manufacturing of a rack depends on its final shape. In the case of the racks with a pole like rectangular shape in the cross-section, the method comprises longitudinal welding of the rack along its whole length.

[0005] In case of the ladder rack, the method comprises welding of an additional element, preferably on each ladder step, directly or indirectly.

[0006] The idea of the invention comprises the rack, especially for shelves with support walls, of which at least one of the walls has a number of openings, characteristic for the support walls which in cross-section form a cross-like shape, while in at least one wall, a number of openings is made. The support walls are vertical with a vertical row of openings in at least one wall.
The openings are arterial.
The support walls are made of two T-bars connected with each other.
The T-bar is a bended element.
The openings are in the connected walls.
The T-bars are inseparably connected.
The openings are rectangular.
The method of manufacturing of the rack, especially the rack for shelves is characteristic for a number of openings made in longitudinal metal sheets and the metal sheet is bended to approximate a T shape, and the T-shaped bended poles are connected with each other in such a way as to make openings of one pole congruent with the openings of the other pole, which make arterial openings in the walls made of connection of unbended walls of the T-bar.
T-shaped metal sheets are connected by means of projection welding.
The rack is welded at the endings of connected metal sheets.
The welding takes place in two areas close to each of rectangular openings.
The welded areas are close to shorter sides of rectangular openings.
The welding is made close to each opening and is shared by two neighboring openings.

[0007] The rack construction, according to the invention, provides for a very stable settlement of the support and enables random fixing of shelve hitches or similar elements.
The method of manufacturing, according to the invention, provides for fast and durable construction of the rack with openings, while in the case of sticking of the shelve hitches to the rack openings, T-shaped elements are additionally connected by means of clenching forces.

[0008] The object of the invention is presented in the enclosed figure, where figure 1 represents a prospective view of the rack, and figure 2 represents a top view of the rack, figure 3 represents the prospect view of the rack with the welded areas of connection of two metal sheets.

[0009] The rack, especially for shelves, according to the invention, consists of four support walls 1, which make a cross-like shape in its cross-section.

[0010] At least one support wall 1 has a number of openings 2 made, preferably rectangular, which enables random fixing of the shelve hitches in them.
In most cases, there are to rows of openings 2 situated one after another, in the case when the racks are used vertically.

[0011] The support walls 1 are made of two T-shape bended metal sheets 3, which are connected with each other through their bases.
It is preferred to have the openings 2 in the support walls 1, which are connected and unbended.
Such making of openings 2, results in the openings 2 cut in each metal sheet 3 congruent with each other, so they are arterial openings 2.

[0012] Connection of the metal sheets 2 is durable and inseparable done by means of welding, preferably in two areas 4 near the openings 2.
The rack has weld seams 5 at each end which protect the connected T-bars against disruption.
The method of manufacturing of the rack, especially for shelves, according to the invention, comprises two rows of openings, preferably rectangular ones, cut in longitudinal metal sheets.
Then, the metal sheet is bended in a T- shape. The bended metal sheets are connected to each other by their bases. The openings are arterial thanks to such connection of metal sheets.
Connection of the metal sheets is done by application of projection welding in the areas close to the openings. It is better when the neighboring openings share the projections.
The welds are made at the endings of the metal sheets for protection of the connection of the metal sheets.
Such method of manufacturing of the invention provides for application of additional clenching forces near the openings, which additionally connect both metal sheets during operation after fixing of the shelve hitches.
