(54) Tank for spray guns

(57) The invention relates to a tank for spray guns comprising a tank body (1), an upper closing lid (2) and a stopper (3). The tank body (1) comprises an inner thread (5) at its lower part and an outer thread (6) at its upper part; the stopper (3) comprises a tubular body (31) which can be oriented in its vertical; whereas the upper closing lid (2) externally screws to the tank body (1) on the outer thread (6) thereof.

Description

Object of the Invention

[0001] The object of the present utility model is a tank applied for spray guns, for projecting paints and other fluids. The main improvement of the present utility model consists of a series of improvements which facilitate cleaning the tank.

Background of the Invention

[0002] This invention relates to a gravity tank for paint guns. Gravity tanks designate the tanks using gravitational force to supply the paint deposited therein to the gun, for which purpose these gravity tanks are coupled to the upper part of paint guns in order to maintain a work position that is sufficiently vertical, or away from the horizontal, for said gravitational force to act effectively.

[0003] The general constitution of these gravity tanks consists of a container provided with a lid, with its corresponding vent, and having a cylindrical body which at its lower part is finished by means of an inverted conical bottom at the vertex of which the outlet incorporating the means of coupling to the gun opens.

[0004] The inventors, who are persons skilled in the art, are not aware of any device like the one described below.

Description of the Invention

[0005] The tank for spray guns, object of the present invention, is set forth to palliate the aforementioned problems.

[0006] This tank comprises at least:
  • A tank body with a reduced inner surface roughness, such that the fluid can slip without friction, facilitating the cleaning. In the same way, the thread for anchoring to the gun is located at the lower part.
  • A lid comprising an upper closing system, such that the contact of the fluid with the thread, in addition to the exit of the fluid to the exterior of the tank, is prevented. In the same way, there is a projection in the outer crown of the lid to prevent the fluid which may be spilled in the reload from passing to the exterior of the tank body.
  • An anti-leakage stopper, on the lid and centered thereon, also comprising a boss which can be oriented in its vertical and projects in the form of a tube, such that the fluid is oxygenated and the fluid cannot exit to the exterior.

[0007] A better cleaning of the tank for spray guns is ensured with the described constitution.

Brief Description of the Drawings

[0008] A series of drawings is very briefly described below which aid in better understanding the invention and which are expressly related to an embodiment of said invention which is set forth as an illustrative but non-limiting example thereof.
  • Figure 1 is a sectional view of the tank object of the invention.
  • Figure 2 shows a detailed sectional view of the lid and anti-leakage stopper forming part of the tank object of the invention.
  • Figure 3 shows a detailed sectional view of the closing thread of the lid of the tank object of the invention.

Preferred Embodiment of the Invention

[0009] As can be observed in Figure 1, the tank object of the invention comprises at least:
  • a tank body (1);
  • an upper closing lid (2);
  • a stopper (3);
Wherein said tank body (1) comprises at least an inner thread (5) at its lower part for anchoring it to the spray gun. It also comprises an outer thread (6) at its upper part suitable for the attachment with the upper closing lid (2).

[0010] In the same way, it can be observed in Figure 1 that the stopper (3) comprises a tubular boss (31) which can be oriented in its vertical. This stopper (3) is centered in the upper closing lid (2).

[0011] Figure 2 shows in detail how the upper closing lid (2) externally screws the tank body (1) on the outer thread (6) thereof. The upper closing lid (2) has a projection (21) in the outer crown of the upper closing lid (2).

[0012] It is also observed how the stopper (3) is threaded in the hole (22). A tubular body (31) or boss, which can be oriented in its vertical, emerges from the stopper (3), such that when the replacement of the fluid in the tank has ended, this tubular body (31) can be oriented upwards.

[0013] Figure 3 shows in detail how the upper closing lid (2) is threaded on the outer thread (6) of the tank body (1). On this outer thread (6) there extends a first body (61) and a second body (62) recessed in relation to the first body (61), such that this recess acts as a stop (63) of the upper closing lid (2).

Claims

1. A tank for spray guns, characterized in that it comprises at least:

- a tank body (1);

- an upper closing lid (2);

- a stopper (3);

wherein said tank body (1) comprises at least an inner thread (5) at its lower part and an outer thread (6) at its upper part; and wherein the stopper (3) comprises a tubular (31) body which can be oriented in its vertical; and wherein the upper closing lid (2) furthermore externally screws to the tank body (1) on the outer thread (6) thereof.

2. A tank for spray guns according to claim 1, characterized in that the stopper (3) is centered in the upper closing lid (2).

3. A tank for spray guns according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper closing lid (2) has a projection (21) in the outer crown of the upper closing lid (2).

4. A tank for spray guns according to claim 1, characterized in that the stopper (3) is threaded in the hole (22).

5. A tank for spray guns according to claim 1, characterized in that on the outer thread (6) there extends a first body (61) and a second body (62) recessed in relation to the first body (61), such that this recess acts as a stop (63) of the upper closing lid (2).
