[0001] This invention relates to a pool and, more specifically, to a swimming pool.
Background Art
[0002] Known swimming pools, in particular those of the "above ground" type, used for recreational
purposes, include a load-bearing frame made, for example, of masonry, defining the
bathing pool proper, and on which a liner, for example a wooden liner, is mounted.
[0003] Also known are above ground swimming pools with a metal frame and a water containing
liner made from a sheet of suitable flexible plastic material. Pools of this kind
are relatively inexpensive and can be easily assembled and dismantled by users themselves,
without having to call specialised personnel.
[0004] These pools have a very light structure and, although practical in many respects,
they are not entirely satisfactory from an aesthetic viewpoint since the load hese

Disclosure of the Invention
[0009] It is provided a pool comprising the features of the independent claim 1. Thus it
is possible to obtain a pool of the above ground type that may be advantageously covered
to obtain very good aesthetic results at any time the user likes. In practice, this
jacket can be used to cover the swimming pool at any time, even after the swimming
pool has been purchased and assembled. An advantageous jacket for swimming pools and
an advantageous method for fitting the jacket to the swimming pool is also referred
to.

Description of the Preferred Embodiments of the Invention
[0011] Figure 1 illustrates a preferred embodiment 10 of a pool, in particular in the form
of a swimming pool for recreational purposes.
[0012] As shown also in Figure 2, this swimming pool 10 is defined by a lining sheet 12,
shown in dashed line style in Figure 2, made of a flexible plastic material, designed
to contain a liquid, and having an inside surface labelled 12' in Figure 1.
[0013] The lining sheet 12 is hung on a metal supporting structure which, as clearly shown
in Figure 2, comprises a plurality of peripherally distributed supporting members
13 comprising props 14 for supporting tubular crossbars 16 extending circumferentially
and from which the lining sheet 12 hangs directly.
[0014] As illustrated, the props 14 supporting the lining sheet 12 extend from flat bases
18 resting on the ground, connected to each other by peripheral tubes 19 on the inside
of each base 18, while oblique or curved uprights 20 are provided for further connecting
each prop 14 to the respective flat base 18 on the side opposite that on which the
props extend, that is, on the inside of the bases 18.
[0015] In this way, it is possible to construct a swimming pool above ground quickly and
easily and just as easily and quickly dismantle it.
[0016] The pool according to the invention advantageously comprises an outer jacket, denoted
in its entirety by the numeral 22 in the drawings, designed to cover the means 13
that support the containing means 12 and the containing means 12 themselves.
[0017] Thus, the above ground swimming pool can be advantageously covered in such a way
as to considerably improve its appearance and make it more attractive for consumers.
Manufacturers of swimming pools of this kind can therefore fully meet users' requirements,
since users are not bound by aesthetic requirements which might condition their choice
of swimming pool or dissuade them from purchasing and installing a swimming pool of
this kind, causing them to forego the functional and economic advantages that swimming
pools of this kind can bring.
[0018] The jacket 22 according to the invention has particularly advantageous supporting
means that can be connected to the pool supporting means.
[0019] In practice, means are provided for connecting the means that support the jacket
22 directly to the above mentioned pool supporting means or to the lining sheet 12.
[0020] In this way, the pool can be advantageously covered at any time the user likes to
obtain very good aesthetic results.
[0021] The provision of a jacket 22 connected to the pool supporting means 13 is particularly
advantageous and relatively inexpensive since the jacket does not require excessively
complex, cumbersome structures.

can also be used to cover only certain parts of the swimming pool, for example, parts
that are most in view or particularly unattractive, without having to bear the costs
of covering the entire swimming pool.

part 34, for receiving respective peripheral portions or sections of the vertical
jacket 24.

38 extends in a transversal direction T or in a longitudinal direction L, depending
on where it is positioned.

are of the engageable and disengageable type and comprise respective cavities formed

1. A pool (10), in particular a swimming pool, comprising containing means (12), in particular
for a liquid, or the like, and supporting means (13, 16) for supporting said containing
means (12), said containing means comprising a sheet (12) made of a flexible material
and hung on the pool supporting means (13, 16), the pool having an outer jacket (22)
adapted to cover the supporting means (13) that support the containing means and/or
the containing means (12) themselves; characterised in that said outer jacket (22) has respective supporting means connected to the supporting
means (13, 16) that support the containing means (12).
2. The pool according to claim 1, characterised in that the means for supporting the outer jacket (22) have means for engaging the pool supporting
means (13).
3. The pool according to claim 2, characterised in that the means for supporting the outer jacket (22) have means for abutting against the
pool supporting means (13).
4. The pool according to any of the foregoing claims, characterised in that the means for supporting the outer jacket (22) have means for fastening to the pool
supporting means (13, 16).
5. The pool according to claim 3 or 4, characterised in that the means for abutting against the pool supporting means exert on the pool supporting
means a thrust force directed in a substantially horizontal direction.
6. The pool according to any of the foregoing claims, characterised in that means are provided for supporting the outer jacket (22) and which comprise means
which support the jacket on the ground.
7. The pool according to claim 6, characterised in that the means for supporting the outer jacket (22) have means for engaging the pool supporting
means (13, 16) and which are adapted to prevent the jacket (22) supporting means from
rotating about their support point on the ground.
8. The pool according to any of the foregoing claims, characterised in that means are provided for supporting an outer jacket and which comprise means for supporting
a lateral jacket (24).
9. The pool according to any of the foregoing claims, characterised in that the means for supporting the jacket comprise an upright portion (26) that extends
in a substantially vertical direction.
10. The pool according to claim 9, characterised in that the upright portion (26) supports the lateral jacket (24).
11. The pool according to any of the foregoing claims, characterised in that means are provided for supporting the jacket (22) and which comprise a respective
groove (28, 30) into which the jacket can be inserted.
12. The pool according to any of the foregoing claims from 9 to 11, characterised in that the upright portion (26) comprises a first part (32) and a second part (34) that
can be associated with the first part (32), these two parts defining a respective
groove (28, 30) into which the jacket (24) can be inserted.
13. The pool according to any of the foregoing claims from 9 to 12, characterised in that the upright portion (26) defines opposite lateral grooves (28, 30) into which the
jacket (24) can be inserted.
14. The pool according to any of the foregoing claims, characterised in that the means for supporting the top outer jacket (25) also comprise a horizontal or
substantially horizontal crossbar (38) extending in a direction perpendicular to the
respective side of the pool.
15. The pool according to claim 14, characterised in that the crossbar (38) extends from the upright (32) and consists of a profile (38) comprising
a generally U-shaped core with oblique side walls, said core having a central or bottom
wall (38a) and oblique side walls (38b, 38c), from the lateral edges of which there
extend opposite lateral end wings (38e, 38f), defining respective supporting surfaces
for corresponding lateral portions of the horizontal or transversal jacket (25), said
lateral wings (38e, 38f), extending in a direction parallel with, and perpendicularly
spaced from, the central wall (38a).
1. Becken (10), insbesondere ein Schwimmbecken, umfassend Aufnahmemittel (12), insbesondere
für eine Flüssigkeit oder dergleichen, und Tragemittel (13, 16) zum Tragen der Aufnahmemittel
(12), wobei die Aufnahmemittel ein Blatt (12) aus einem flexiblen Material umfasst,
das an den Beckentragemitteln (13, 16) aufgehängt ist, wobei der Becken einen Außenmantel
(22) aufweist, der zur Abdeckung der Tragemittel (13) angepasst ist, die die Aufnahmemittel
und/oder die Aufnahmemittel (12) selbst trägt; dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Außenmantel (22) jeweilige Tragemittel aufweist, die mit den Tragemitteln (13,
16) verbunden sind, die die Aufnahmemittel (12) tragen.
2. Becken nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Mittel zum Tragen des Außenmantels (22) Mittel zum Eingriff mit dem Beckenstragemittel
(13) aufweisen.
3. Becken nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Mittel zum Tragen des Außenmantels (22) Mittel zum Anliegen an den Beckentragemitteln
(13) aufweisen.
4. Becken nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Mittel zum Tragen des Außenmantels (22) Mittel zur Befestigung an den Beckentragemitteln
(13, 16) aufweisen.
5. Becken nach Anspruch 3 oder 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Mittel zum Anliegen an den Beckentragemitteln auf die Beckenstragemittel eine
in einer im wesentlichen horizontalen Richtung gerichteten Schubkraft ausüben.
6. Becken nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Mittel vorgesehen sind, um den Außenmantel (22) zu tragen und die Mittel umfassen,
die den Mantel am Boden tragen.
7. Becken nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Mittel zum Tragen des Außenmantels (22) Mittel zum Eingriff mit den Beckentragemitteln
(13, 16) aufweisen und die dazu angepasst sind, damit die Drehung der Tragemittel
des Mantels (22) um deren Stützpunkt auf dem Boden verhindert wird.
8. Becken nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Mittel zum Tragen eines Außenmantels vorgesehen sind, die Mittel zum Tragen eines
Seitenmantels (24) aufweisen.
9. Becken nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Mittel zum Tragen des Mantels einen aufrechten Abschnitt (26) umfassen, der sich
in einer im Wesentlichen vertikalen Richtung erstreckt.
10. Becken nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der aufrechte Abschnitt (26) den seitlichen Mantel (24) trägt.
11. Becken nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Mittel zum Tragen des Mantels (22) vorgesehen sind, und die jeweils eine Nut (28,
30) umfassen, in die der Mantel eingesteckt werden kann.
12. Becken nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 9 bis 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der aufrechte Abschnitt (26) einen ersten Teil (32) und einen zweiten Teil (34) aufweist,
der mit dem ersten Teil (32) assoziiert werden kann, wobei diese zwei Teile eine jeweilige
Nut (28, 30) definieren, in die der Mantel (24) eingesteckt werden kann.
13. Becken nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 9 bis 12, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der aufrechte Abschnitt (26) entgegengesetzte Seitennuten (28, 30) definiert, in
die der Mantel (24) eingesteckt werden kann.
14. Becken nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Mittel zum Tragen des oberen Außenmantels (25) auch eine horizontale oder im
Wesentlichen horizontale Querstange (38) umfassen, die sich in einer Richtung senkrecht
zur jeweiligen Seite des Beckens erstreckt.
15. Becken nach Anspruch 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sich die Querstange (38) von dem Ständer (32) erstreckt und aus einem Profil (38)
besteht, das einen im Wesentlichen U-förmigen Kern mit schrägen Seitenwänden aufweist,
wobei der Kern eine zentrale oder untere Wand (38a) und schräge Seitenwände (38b,
38c) aufweist, von deren Seitenkanten sich entgegegengesetzte seitliche Endflügel
(38e, 38f) erstrecken, die jeweilige Auflageflächen für entsprechende Seitenabschnitte
des horizontalen oder querlaufenden Mantels (25) definieren, wobei die Seitenflügel
(38e, 38f) sich in einer Richtung parallel zu und senkrecht beabstandet von der zentralen
Wand (38a) erstrecken.

aux moyens de support (13, 16) supportant le moyen de contenance (12).
2. Bassin selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les moyens servant à supporter l'enveloppe extérieure (22) comportent des moyens
servant à se mettre en prise avec les moyens de support (13) du bassin.

servant à se mettre en butée contre les moyens de support (13) du bassin.
4. Bassin selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que les moyens servant à supporter l'enveloppe extérieure (22) comportent des moyens
servant à les fixer aux moyens de support (13, 16) du bassin.
5. Bassin selon la revendication 3 ou 4, caractérisé en ce que les moyens servant à se mettre en butée contre les moyens de support du bassin exercent
sur les moyens de support du bassin une force de poussée orientée dans une direction
substantiellement horizontale.
6. Bassin selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que des moyens sont prévus pour supporter l'enveloppe extérieure (22) et qui comprennent
des moyens supportant l'enveloppe sur le sol.
7. Bassin selon la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce que les moyens servant à supporter l'enveloppe extérieure (22) comportent des moyens
servant à mettre en prise les moyens de support (13, 16) du bassin et étant adaptés
pour empêcher que les moyens de support de l'enveloppe (22) ne tournent autour de
leur point de support sur le sol.
8. Bassin selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que des moyens sont prévus pour supporter une enveloppe extérieure et qui comprennent
des moyens servant à supporter une enveloppe latérale (24).
9. Bassin selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que les moyens de support de l'enveloppe comprennent une partie de montant (26) se prolongeant
dans une direction essentiellement verticale.
10. Bassin selon la revendication 9, caractérisé en ce que la partie de montant (26) supporte l'enveloppe latérale (24).
11. Bassin selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que des moyens sont prévus pour supporter l'enveloppe (22) et qui comprennent une rainure
respective (28, 30) dans laquelle l'enveloppe peut être insérée.
12. Bassin selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes de 9 à 11, caractérisé en ce que la partie de montant (26) comprend une première partie (32) et une seconde partie
(34) pouvant être associée à la première partie (32), ces deux parties définissant
une rainure (28, 30) respective dans laquelle l'enveloppe (24) peut être insérée.
13. Bassin selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes de 9 à 12, caractérisé en ce que la partie de montant (26) définit des rainures latérales (28, 30) opposées dans laquelle
l'enveloppe (24) peut être insérée.
14. Bassin selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que les moyens de support de l'enveloppe extérieure supérieure (25) comprennent aussi
une traverse (38) horizontale ou substantiellement horizontale se prolongeant dans
une direction perpendiculaire au côté respectif du bassin.
15. Bassin selon la revendication 14, caractérisé en ce que la traverse (38) se prolonge du montant (32) et consiste en un profilé (38) comprenant
une âme généralement en forme de « U » avec des cloisons latérales obliques, ladite
âme comportant une cloison centrale ou de fond (38a) et des cloisons latérales obliques
(38b, 38c) dont les bords latéraux se prolongent à l'opposé des ailes latérales d'extrémité
(38e, 38f), définissant des surfaces de support respectives pour des parties latérales
correspondantes de l'enveloppe (25) horizontale ou transversale, lesdites ailes latérales
(38e, 38f) se prolongeant dans une direction parallèle à, et perpendiculairement espacée
de la cloison centrale (38a).
