(54) Ornamental hook for a clothes hanger and process for realizing such a hook

(57) The present invention aims to make pleasant to the eye the hook (1) of a clothes hanger, by coupling to the hook (1) of the hanger an ornamental object (2), such as a Swarovski chain, which is welded and shaped creating fantasy forms as much as one likes.

Description

[0001] The present invention concerns a hangers hook with characteristics of jewel.

[0002] Well-known, a classic hanger includes a shaped body, suitable for supporting clothes or garments, and a hook, coupled through means of fastening to the shaped body, mostly smooth and made of metallic material.

[0003] If for the shaped body the forms and the materials of construction have evolved over time toward refined solutions, even with a certain aesthetic value, this is not as true for the hook.

[0004] In fact, the hook concerned appears to be quite crude and anonymous, being designed solely as an article marked by its functionality, intended purely to the simple support of a garment during transport, storage, exposure in a point of sale or positioning within a wardrobe by the end user.

[0005] Very often, the shop owner sets aside the hook directly for disposal as soon as the user has purchased the garment coupled to it, thus creating waste material and having to consider the separation of component parts of different material for the purpose of a correct recycling.

[0006] If, however, the hanger is retained with the purchased garment, sooner or later the user throws the hanger itself without any delay, while it is still structurally and functionally integral, aspect which involves the recycling problems cited above.

[0007] In addition, at present the hanger as a whole does not make any contribution to the ability to attract the attention of the end consumer in the shops, orienting the purchase choices thereof, on a garment rather than another.

[0008] This can be easily deduced if you think that, in general, the portion of the hanger useful for support the garment, i.e. the shaped body, remains for the most part if not totally covered by the garment itself and the hook is in practice the only portion which remains visible.

[0009] Moreover, in a store, the clothes are coupled to a support structure, such as an open closet or a shelving, which internally presents a reduced furniture ability and is short of light and colour. Such aspect represents a limitation in relation to certain suits of dark colour supported by the hanger, such as jackets or trousers, which are not inevitably highlighted in an optimal way.

[0010] Furthermore, the support structure of the hanger is little suitable for the high aesthetic quality of the furnishings in certain clothes shops, due to the types of articles exposed, to the reputation of the trademark that exposes them, to the traditionally used furniture, representing a point of discontinuity undesired for the aesthetic impact and felt by the people.

[0011] It cannot overlook the fact that even in the hanger field it is increasingly felt the need, already recently become deep in other industrial and/or craftsmanlike sectors, of the luxury taste end in itself, met by providing with precious and bright inserts an object of common used, thus, of a contained economic value and sometimes of little aesthetic value.

[0012] The present innovation intends to overcome the limitations of the known art just cited.

[0013] In particular, the main aim of the present invention is to provide a hanger hook with characteristics of jewel which can increase in a shop the ability to capture the attention of the customer on the garment to a greater extent than the known hangers.

[0014] Another aim of the invention is to achieve a hanger hook with characteristics of jewel which contributes to the furnishing of the support structure in which it is positioned significantly or in any case more than the prior art.

[0015] A further aim of the present invention is to make luxurious a commonly used article, until now thought purely in terms of its functionality, giving it a high added value which exceeds the parameters for which it is typically considered.

[0016] A last but non least aim of the invention is to develop a hanger hook which allows to eliminate or at least to greatly reduce in comparison with the known technique the percentage of hangers or at least of hanger hooks to throw away after use while they are still integral from a structural point of view.

[0017] In other words, aim of the invention is also to extend with respect to the state of the art the life of use of a normal hanger or at least of the hook applied on it.

[0018] The aforesaid aims are reached by a hangers hook with characteristics of jewel according to the attached claim 1, to which they refer for sake of brevity. Additional features of detail of the hangers hook of the invention are reported in the corresponding dependent claims.

[0019] Object of the present invention is also a process for realizing a hangers hook according to the attached claim 10, to which they still refer for sake of brevity.

[0020] Advantageously, differently to the prior art, the hanger hook of the invention and, consequently, the hanger itself, is a component which can contribute to the furniture of the structure where it is placed. Still advantageously, the hangers hook of the invention helps in attracting the attention of the buyer on the garment, being no more a simple support tool but an object of high value, having a relevant prominence which catches the eyes of the people.

[0021] Equally advantageously, the invention transforms into a jewel a customary article, valued for its functional characteristics, such as a hanger hook and the same hanger.

[0022] Furthermore, in an advantageous manner, the invention allows to consider a hanger as an item to buy or store like the garment supported.

[0023] Moreover, advantageously, the hook of hangers of the invention inevitably reduces the amount of hangers or at least of hanger hooks which are disposed after use still structurally integral, limiting the percentage of waste material to be disposed and recycled.

[0024] The aforesaid aims and advantages will be more evident from the description that follows relative to a preferred executive embodiment of the hook of the invention and to a preferred applicative embodiment of the process for its realization, given by way of indicative but not limiting title with the aid of the attached figure 1 which shows the hangers hook with characteristics of jewel of the invention in application conditions, globally numbered with 1.

[0025] The innovation of the invention consists in the fact that the hook 1 includes an embellishment trimming 2 fixed to the hook 1 through junction means, as a whole indicated by 3.

[0026] More in detail, the embellishment trimming 2 is preferably but not necessarily positioned on the convex side wall 5a of the substantially hook-shaped body 5, made of metallic material with a typically smooth lateral surface, defined by the hook 1.

[0027] It is understood that in other executive embodiments of the invention, not represented, the embellishment trimming can be disposed on any stretch of the side wall of the hook, either on the convex or on the concave part.

[0028] In figure 1 it is shown that the embellishment trimming 2 does not affect the threaded end 5b of the shaped body 5 of the hook 1 intended to be coupled to the main body of the hanger, not shown.

[0029] The embellishment trimming 2 preferably includes a chain in Swarovski® jewellery which comprises a plurality of stones 6 with colours different and/or equal one to the other.

[0030] Other executive embodiments of the invention may exist in which the embellishment trimming includes a fantasy-modelled form or subject, such as flowers, animals, fantasy characters and so on.

[0031] Moreover, the embellishment trimming 2 includes a support element 4 in which there is a plurality of shaped housings facing outwards, not shown, one consecutive, side-by-side and separated to the other, each of which firmly receives a Swarovski® stone 6. According to the preferred executive embodiment of the invention here described, the junction means 3 include a welding cordon, not visible, which connects the base 4a of the support element 4 to the convex side wall 5a of the shaped body 5.

[0032] In doing so, the welding cordon affects only the parties in metallic material of the hanger hook 1 according to the invention, not impairing the precious stones 6 mounted in the respective shaped housings of the support element 4, consequently maintaining integral the structural integrity an the aesthetic effect thereof.

[0033] In further constructive solutions of the hanger hook of the invention, not depicted in the drawings below, in the support element can be defined a single shaped housing where the chain stones are received.

[0034] In an advantageous manner, the embellishment trimming 2 is rhodium-plated and/or golden in order to obtain a superficial finishing without imperfections.

[0035] The process for realizing the hangers hook 1 according to the invention comprises the following operations:
  • arranging the raw hook or shaped body 5 suitable to be coupled to the hanger;
  • arranging the embellishment trimming 2;
  • fixing the embellishment trimming 2 to almost the entire convex side wall 5a of the raw hook 5. According to a custom consolidated in the hangers field, the side wall 5a of the raw hook 5 is smooth. As said, the embellishment trimming 2 includes a plurality of precious stones 6, preferably Swarovski®, and the support element 4 where a plurality of shaped housings is defined, in each of which one of the aforesaid stones 6 is mounted. According to the preferred applicative embodiment

[0036] here described of the process of the invention, the operation of coupling the embellishment trimming 2 to the raw hook 5 consists of a welding between the base 4a of the support element 4 and the side wall 5a of the raw hook 5.

[0037] In other applications of the invention process, the coupling of the embellishment trimming to the raw hook includes, in the order, the operations of:
  • welding a first end of the support element of the embellishment rimming to the raw hook;
  • twisting the embellishment trimming around at least a portion of the side wall of the raw hook;
  • welding the second end of the support element of the embellishment trimming to the raw hook.

[0038] The welding, i.e. a soldering, is a spot welding, each of the spots carried out in fractions of a second, on parts consecutive and adjacent, although different, one each other of the support element 4 and of the side wall 5a of the raw hook 5.

[0039] Immediately before its welding to the raw hook 5, the embellishment trimming 2 is positioned close to the side wall 5a of the raw hook 5 through a working tool, for example pliers.

[0040] In preferred but non-binding way, the process includes the operation of arranging a roll of the embellishment trimming 2, thus suitable for more productions, and cutting the embellishment trimming 2 from the roll after having steadily coupled the desired length of the embellishment trimming 2 to the raw hook 5.

[0041] Advantageously, from an operational point of view, the process of the invention comprises the operation of anchoring at least partially, for example the threaded end 5b, the raw hook 5 to a support base, not shown, laid down on a work plan and suitable to allow the modelling.

[0042] Such an operation is carried out before the coupling of the embellishment trimming 2 to the raw hook 5.

[0043] At preferential title, the support base includes a plasticine® bar.

[0044] The process of the invention also includes an operation of finishing touch, performed after the operation of steadily coupling the embellishment trimming 2 to the raw hook 5.

[0045] Such finishing operation consists of rhodium, nickel or gold electroplating, depending on the aesthetic needs to give to the hook 1.

[0046] As an alternative to the application embodiments just described, the process of the invention may include the operation of creating a fantasy subject onto a matrix of reference, performed before the coupling of the embellishment trimming to the raw hook.

[0047] In this case, the operation of coupling the embellishment trimming to the raw hook consists firstly in positioning the raw hook in the matrix of reference and subsequently in steadily coupling, through the above mentioned methodologies, the embellishment trimming to the raw hook following the profile of the matrix of reference.

[0048] This allows to obtain forms of fantasy as much as one likes, depending on the market demand.

[0049] On the basis of what exposed above, it is understood, therefore, that the hangers hook with characteristics of jewel and the process for realizing such a hook achieve the aims and realize the advantages previously mentioned.

[0050] It is specified that the colours and the forms of the precious stones which composed the embellishment trimming will be any, depending on the constructive choices and the needs of the customers.

[0051] It is clear, then, that many other variations can be made to the hangers hook in question, without for this reason going out of the novelty principles inherent of the idea inventive, as it is clear that, in the practical implementation of the invention, materials, shapes and sizes of the details could be any, depending on the needs, and could be replaced with other technically equivalent.
