Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[0010] Now, present invention will be described in greater detail by referring to the accompanying
drawings that illustrate the best modes for carrying out the invention.
First Embodiment:
[0011] FIG. 1A is a schematic plan view of the first embodiment of an under hair forming
tool according to the present invention and FIG. 1B is a schematic cross-sectional
view thereof taken along the center line thereof.
[0012] Referring to FIGS. 1A and 1B, 1 denotes an under hair contour sheet plate having
a predetermined profile (heart-like profile) and 2 denotes an adhesive layer bonded
to the rear surface thereof. Furthermore, a peeling sheet layer 3 having a profile
same as that of the under hair contour sheet plate is laid on the surface of the adhesive
layer.
[0013] When using the under hair forming tool having the above described configuration,
the peeling sheet layer 3 is firstly peeled off to expose the adhesive layer 2 and
the under hair contour sheet plate is accurately applied to the part of the under
hair to be left at the rear surface thereof to make the adhesive layer 2 adhere to
that part so as to be held there.
[0014] Then, the part of the under hair overflowing from the under hair forming tool is
shaved off or cut off by means of a razor or a hair clipper. Alternatively it may
be removed by applying a depilatory.
[0015] Since the necessary part of the under hair is protected by the under hair forming
tool to show a predetermined profile. Therefore, only the overflowing remaining part
is shaved off, cut off or otherwise removed. The operation is an easy one and does
not require neither skill nor any particular care.
[0016] In this embodiment, "Micropore Surgical Tape 1530" (trademark, available from 3M
Healthcare Co. Ltd. which is a rayon type unwoven tape provided on the rear surface
thereof with an acryl-based adhesive layer) is employed as the material of the under
hair contour sheet plate and shaped to show a heart-like profile by means of a punch.
Second Embodiment:
[0017] FIG. 2A is a schematic plan view of the second embodiment of an under hair forming
tool according to the present invention and FIG. 2B is a schematic cross-sectional
view thereof taken along the center line thereof.
[0018] Referring to FIGS. 2A and 2B, 1 denotes an under hair contour sheet plate having
a predetermined profile (heart-like profile) and 2 denotes an adhesive layer bonded
to the rear surface thereof. Furthermore, a peeling sheet layer 3 (3a, 3b) having
a profile same as that of the under hair contour sheet plate is laid on the surface
of the adhesive layer.
[0019] Additionally, perforations or slits 6 are arranged along the peripheral edge of the
peeling sheet layer 3 with a predetermined margin.
[0020] When using the under hair forming tool having the above described configuration,
the release sheet 3a, which is a peripheral part of the peeling sheet layer 3, is
firstly peeled off along the perforations 6 to expose the adhesive layer 2 under it
and the under hair contour sheet plate is accurately applied to the part of the under
hair to be left at the rear surface thereof to make the adhesive layer 2 adhere to
the pubes there so as to be held there.
[0021] Then, the part of the under hair overflowing from the under hair forming tool is
shaved off or cut off by means of a razor or a hair clipper as described above by
referring to the first embodiment. Alternatively it may be removed by applying a depilatory.
Since the necessary part of the under hair is protected by the under hair forming
tool to show a predetermined profile. Therefore, only the overflowing remaining part
is shaved off, cut off or otherwise removed. The operation is an easy one and does
not require neither skill nor any particular care.
Third Embodiment:
[0022] FIG. 3 is a schematic plan view of the third embodiment of an under hair forming
tool according to the present invention.
[0023] This embodiment is adapted to have any of various sizes. As shown in FIG. 3, under
hair contour sheet plate having a heart-like profile is provided with cutting guide
lines 4a, 4b.
[0024] The cutting guide lines are arranged to accommodate the differences of size or liking
among individuals. They include a cutting guide line 4a (for a medium size) and a
cutting guide line 4b (for a small size). Thus, for example, an under hair contour
sheet plate for a medium size can be produced by cutting the original under hair contour
sheet plate along the cutting guide line 4a for a medium size by scissors and the
like.
[0025] The sheet plate of an under hair forming tool according to the present invention
is preferably made of a plastic material.
[0026] More preferably, the contour plate of an under hair forming tool according to the
present invention is made of a plastic material that is transparent or semi-transparent.
Then, the part of the under hair to be left is visible through the contour plate from
the outside so that the user can see how it actually appears and hence the user can
selectively determine the profile of the part of the under hair to be left according
to his or her liking.
[0027] A sheet plate prepared by lamination of a PET sheet and a hologram film to show a
brilliant and attractive appearance may also preferably be used for the sheet plate
of an under hair forming tool according to the present invention.
[0028] The plastic material of the sheet plate may be selected from vinyl chloride resin,
polyethylene resin, acryl resin, nylon resin and other resins because such materials
can be processed with ease to form a thin plate and also colored with ease.
[0029] The sheet plate may alternatively be made of cloth, unwoven cloth or paper. If it
is made of paper, the paper may be water-proof paper or water-soluble paper. Paper
provides an advantage of being disposable.
[0030] Still alternatively, the sheet plate may be made of metal such as aluminum, tin or
copper. A sheet plate may be formed by lamination of a metal sheet and a plastic sheet.
Still alternatively, the contour plate may be formed by bonding a sheet of paper and
a sheet of plastic or by impregnating a sheet of paper with resin and setting the
sheet.
[0031] A sheet plate made of any of the above listed materials can be bent to show a profile
that is curved by an appropriate angle and the curved profile can be maintained. Thus,
the contour plate can be three-dimensionally accurately applied to the necessary part
of the under hair so as to be held there. Then, the under hair can be trimmed accurately
and easily.
[0032] The under hair contour sheet plate may be provided on the front surface thereof with
a handle to improve the operability of the contour plate. A decorative ribbon 5 may
be bonded to the sheet plate so as to operate as handle as shown in FIG. 4. Then,
the ribbon operates both as handle and as decoration.
[0033] As shown in FIG. 5, the profile of the under hair contour sheet plate may be that
of a tear drop (B), triangle (C) or square (D) instead of that of a heart (A), which
is employed for the above described embodiments.
