BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the invention
[0001] The present invention is related to information searching method using GPS with wireless
transmission system, more particularly, the present invention is related to information
searching method that allows a user to search a coordinates within a target area by
using the portable information operating system, as well as receive the desired information
within the target area, such that the user can timely obtain the desired information
for reaching the destination quickly and more effectively.
2. Description of Related Art
[0002] As the living quality and economic status are being upgraded, many people start to
care more about the relaxation activity. Except for the indoor exercise, traveling
to different places is a popular recreation nowadays during the holidays. However,
while traveling, it is very easy to get lost in a strange place even with a map, and
therefore, the GPS has been developed. The GPS uses a satellite to position and calculate
time, and there are two the caesium beam atomic clocks and a rubidium atomic clock
in the satellite for providing the precise data of latitude and longitude to enable
a user to learn the position of the present location. The GPS mostly are used for
precisely positioning and synchronizing within the network. Because the satellites
transmit a time signal simultaneously, the worldwide network systems can obtain a
stable synchronized signal source. So many products available on the market are developed
in simple and stably to as synchronizing signal sources. A GPS signal receiving device
usually can receive signals from a plurality of satellites for positioning and choosing
the best quality time signal among all. Thus, the user won't get lost while traveling
in a strange place with the GPS signal receiving device.
[0003] However, the prior art GPS only provides the coordinates for positioning, and some
GPS combine with FM or some GPS combine with GPRS. Thus, the user has to transmit
the related information of the desired area to the system host, for example, to renew
a map or to provide traveling information of the present location, to allow the system
host to find the information of the desired area and further transmit back to the
user. Meanwhile, the system host charges the user according to the information provided
upon the user's inquiry. However, the other related detailed information, for example,
the tourist attractions, the local cuisines, hotel and so on, can't be provided on
time and is not completed. As a result, the user also has to search the above related
information after being directed by GPS to the desired area.
[0004] Accordingly, the conventional searching method using GPS has the following defects.
- 1. The GPS only provides the satellite coordinates, but not the information related
to the desired area.
- 2. Every region has its own traveling information, and the user has to purchase a
map when entering to a new area. Therefore, it is inconvenient and expensive to the
user, and preserving the maps can also be a problem to the user.
- 3. There are always differences existing between the local tourism map and the actual
routes. This can easily make the user in a wrong location.
- 4. The user usually has to take the winding and tiny paths to reach the tourist attractions,
and new tourist attractions are generally unknown to the system host, so the user
can barely receive the renewed and updated information through the GPS.
- 5. The defect of the passive dual-directional communication between the user and the
system host, which the user transmits the related information to the system host to
enable the system host provide the desired information accordingly, not only affects
the user during driving but also pays the extra fee to the system host.
[0005] Thus, it is desirable to resolve the problems of using the above conventional GPS.
Therefore, how to overcome the defects of the conventional design is an important
issue for the manufacturer in the field.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0006] Accordingly, in the view of the foregoing, the present inventor provides a new information
searching method using GPS with wireless transmission system.
[0007] According to an aspect of the present invention, when moving a portable information
operating system to a target area, the portable information operating system locates
a current coordinate of the position.; meanwhile, the portable information operating
system receives information transmitted by the information transmission system in
DVB-T, DVB-H or WiMAX to further search and actively select the desired information
in the target area; finally, the portable information operating system displays all
the desired information on a display to enable a user to promptly and timely obtain
the desired information.
[0008] According to another aspect of the present invention, the information transmission
system uses a GPS satellite or a base station to free transmit the information actively
and timely.
[0009] According to another aspect of the present invention, the portable information operating
system can process the information by using a CPU to store the information into a
memory or database.

- 1. The user doesn't have to take the risk to search the traveling information while
driving, and the portable information operating system 1 can analyze, filter and find the desired information within the target area 15 where the portable information operating system 1 positioned.
- 2. The portable information operating system 1 receives the latest traveling information provided by the shopper or the advertiser
from the GPS satellite 31 or the base station 32 of the information transmission system 3, thus the user can obtain the latest, detailed and complete information timely.
- 3. The information provider system 2 not only can provide the latest traveling information, but also the latest map of
the target area 15.
- 4. The advertiser can charge to the shoppers for listing their information in the
information provider system 2, therefore, it benefits both information provider and user.

the scope of the present invention. The information searching method of the present
invention combines the coordinate of the portable information operating system with
the received traveling information provided by the information transmission system,
and the built-in CPU analyzes and filters to find the desired information to provide
the user actively. Thus the user doesn't have to prepare a lot of information before
starting the journey.

1. An information searching method using global positioning system (GPS) with wireless
transmission system, for positioning in a target area and transmitting the information
within said target area, comprising a portable information operating system, an information
provider system and an information transmission system, the method comprising:
(a) providing information to said information provider system from shoppers;
(b) organizing said information by the information provider system, and using said
information transmission system to actively, regularly and constantly transmit the
information to a whole coverage;
(c) installing said portable information operating system for receiving the information;
(d) moving said portable information operating system to a target area;
(e) using said portable information operating system to receive the information within
the target area;
(f) using said portable information operating system to combine and calculate positioning
information therein with the information received from said information transmission
system, and analyzing to filter and find the desired information; and
(g) displaying the processed and desired information on a display of said portable
information operating system.
2. The information searching method using GPS with wireless transmission system according
to claim 1, wherein said portable information operating system can search a coordinate
within said target area by a GPS satellite and display on said display.
3. The information searching method using GPS with wireless transmission system according
to claim 1, wherein said advertiser provides the information including traveling information,
tourist attraction, local shopping information, point of interest and shops.
4. The information searching method using GPS with wireless transmission system according
to claim 1, wherein said information transmission system can transmit the information
in wireless audio/video transmission, including broadcasting, wireless TV signal transmission
and satellite signal transmission, and through a base station in DVB-T, DVB-H, WiMAX.
