Objective of the Invention.
[0001] This invention has as its objective to be a manual device to carry coins or other
personal elements by the user. It allows the user to carry coins or other personal
effects on their person, in a manual, simple, comfortable and safe manner.
Background to the invention
[0002] This invention arose in response to a need on the part of the user to carry around
coins or other personal effects.
[0003] When the user needs to carry such items, it is usually necessary to carry them in
pockets or in a handbag, with the subsequent lack of control and disorder that this
implies on occasions, as such items become mixed up with other unrelated items.
[0004] The use of pockets or bags to carry different items can also result in difficulty
in finding the precise coins that are needed for the occasion. While looking for the
coins, more disorder is created in the pockets or bags, and it becomes impossible
to find the correct coins. This situation might occur whilst getting onto the bus,
for example, or whilst trying to pay a toll on the motorway.
[0005] This invention resolves all those difficulties, as it allows the user to carry coins
around with them comfortably and safely, and to have access to the coins quickly,
without any of the inconveniences previously described.
Summary of the Invention
[0006] The manual device for carrying coins and other personal items of the user is characterised
by its composition of two main parts; a receiving part and a covering part, independent
yet united and joined together by means of a joint. The receiver part provides a multitude
of slits that are specially tailored to acommodate coins of different sizes. The covering
part is made so as to provide a cover for the receiver part, and, as both can vary
their position relative to each other by means of the joint, the device can adopt
two different positions, one open or uncovered, and another closed or covered. In
the open position the receiver part with the slits has the coins within uncovered
and in view of the user, and on pivoting the joint the covering part covers the receiver
part, covering the coins in their respective slits, closing the device and leaving
the coins out of sight of the user. This is the position used for carrying the device,
and the device is able to pass from covered to uncovered and viceversa manually.
[0007] These and other characteristics will be made clear in a detailed description that
follows, which is accompanied by two explanatory diagrams giving a practical case
in use, illustrating just one of the uses within the reach of this invention.
Diagrams
[0008] Figures 1 and 2 show the two generally preferred positions of the device invented,
in the closed or covered position, and the open or uncovered position, respectively.
Detailed description of one preferred form of use of the invention.
[0009] In accordance with the objective of this invention, the manual device for carrying
coins or other personal items is designed to allow the user to carry coins and other
items on his person manually, comfortably, simply, and safely.
[0010] As it can be seen in Figures 1 and 2, device -1- manually carrying coins or other
personal items of the user of this invention, is composed of a receiver part -2- and
a covering part -3- , independent from each other but joined together by a joint -4-
.
[0011] The device -1- of the invention allows two positions, the open uncovered position
(figure 2) and the closed covered position (figure 1).
[0012] The receiver part -2- provides slits -5- specifically made for the insertion of coins.
[0013] Coins -6- may be inserted or taken out manually from those slits -5- by the user.
[0014] In the uncovered open position (figure 2), the receiver part -2- presents the slits
-5- uncovered and visible to the user. It is in this position that the user may introduce
or take out coins -6- from the slits -5- , according to their requirements.
[0015] As the user wishes, the covering part -3- may pivot on the joint -4- and so cover
the receiver part -2- , leaving the device -1- in the covered or closed position (figure
1). In this position, the covering part -3-covers the receiver part -2-, covering
the slits -5- and therefore the coins -6- inserted within.
[0016] It is in this covered position (figure 1), that the device -1- may be carried by
the user themselves, with the coins -6- housed within the slits -5-, inside a pocket
or bag.
[0017] When the user needs or desires to use the coins -6-, he must manually pivot the covering
part -3- on its joint -4- and uncover the receiver part -2- and pass to the uncovered
or open position (figure 2), and in this manner the coins -6- appear in the slits
-5- of the uncovered receiver part -2- , so that the user themself can take out the
desired coins -6- for their particular use.
[0018] The slits -5- are adjusted to the different sizes of coins -6-, so that each size
and type of coin -6- is found in its particular slit -5-,. This assists the user to
find the coin -6- they are looking for or require at that moment, unlike what occurs
when he must search in a pocket or handbag, where it is much more problematic to identify
which coins they are taking out.
[0019] The covering part -2-, together with the slits -5- or in another position of the
device -1- may also display advertising elements or features, which would be visible
to the user at the time of use in either the open or closed position.
[0020] The device -1- of the invention may also display or use a raised pattern -8- for
tactile comprehension by the blind, in the manner of "Braille" or similar, either
together with the slits -5- to identify coins -6- within, or in any other place on
the device -1- for the user's comprehension or other type of message.
[0021] The invention shown may display a configuration and components pertinent to other
functions. The components previously described may be used, or indeed any other components
ideal for the carrying out the same activity.
[0022] This invention, in essence, may be put into practice for other forms of use that
differ only slightly from the use given by way of example, and these will also attain
the same level of protection as that claimed. It is possible, then, to make this invention
with the materials, components, and accessories considered most appropriate, as the
elements may be substituted for by others which are technically equivalent, in order
to include all the claims of the device.
1. Manual device for carrying coins or other personal elements by the user, characterised by the composition of two independent parts; a receiver part (2) and a covering part
(3), united and joined together by means of a joint (4), the receiver part (2) being
equipped with a number of slits (5) specifically habilitated to acommodate various
coins (6) of different sizes, the covering part (3) designed to cover the receiver
part (2), and the parts (2) and (3) may vary their relative position by means of a
joint (4), and the device (1) may thereby adopt two different positions, one uncovered
or open, the other covered or closed.
2. Manual device for bearing coins or other personal elements by the user according to
claim 1, is also characterised by the fact that it may display a raised pattern (8) for tactile comprehension by blind
users, in the style of "Braille" or other systems, either together with the slits
(5) in order to identify the coins (6) housed within, or on any other point of the
device (1) for the comprehension of any other type of message.
