(57) A device for generating a liquid jet is provided. The device comprises two enclosures (41,43) for receiving filler material. The enclosures (41,43) are supportable with an explosive charge (42) trapped between them.
The device comprises a multiplicity of outer envelopes for receiving said filler material, each of which containing a single former for receiving an explosive charge, so designed that the envelopes may be joined together to constitute an array.
