(54) Aftertreatment device


(57) An aftertreatment device (10, 110, 210) for use on an engine (16) having a cylinder head (14) includes an exhaust manifold (12, 112, 212) having an outlet (26), and a plurality of catalyst assemblies (28) located upstream of the outlet. The catalyst assemblies (28) define an exhaust gas passageway (38, 138, 238) that is in fluid communication with the engine (16) and in fluid communication with the outlet (26). A catalyst substrate (30) is disposed in the catalyst assemblies (28).
