(54) Lighting means


(57) The invention to which the application relates is a lighting means which is provided in a form to allow at least two lighting functions to be created. A first lighting function is in the form of a torch and the second function is as a nightlight with a glow lighting effect. In one arrangement the lighting means include a housing which can be gripped to allow the housing to be held as a torch and in the second function the illumination of a light source causes a glow effect through the wall of the housing to create a nightlight effect.
